Democrats announced that they are beginning an investigation into President Trump’s firing of State Department Inspector General Steve Linick.
House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Eliot Engel of New York and Sen. Bob Menendez of New Jersey made the announcement on Saturday, a day after Linick’s removal. The lawmakers requested all records about Linick’s firing from the White House, the State Department, and the State Department Office of Inspector General by next Friday.

As I’ve noted on two previous threads, the last person to hold the position of State Department IG was Howard Krongard, who had been appointed by George W. Bush, and served until January 15th, 2008. There was never a permanent IG for the State Department because Obama never nominated anyone for the position while Hillary was Secretary. This guy Linick wasn’t nominated until Kerry took over. Hillary had free-reign without having to worry about anyone looking over her shoulder. And of course, the media could have cared less that Obama left that position vacant all that time. They only rant and rave when President Trump fires someone who deserves to be fired.

Trump knows something and this will magnify it. This is more of brier rabbit repeating “please Mr Fox, don’t throw me in that brier patch. Just please don’t do that.”
As president, isn’t it Trump’s choice of who works in these roles? They don’t like it, then elect a different president.

I seem to remember an investigation into corruption by former basketball player Kevin KJ Johnson. Obama called the IG incompetent and fired him. No black basketball player was going down on Obama’s watch!
They really should be more careful about asking questions they may not want answered.
