Nunes: Transcripts show Russia investigation was 'phony the whole time'
Fox News ^ | May 10 2020 | Andrew O'Reilly

Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., said the Republican strategy during the House investigation into the Russia probe focused an asking if there was any collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

The answer they got: none.

“We had a strategy here that we wanted to get every single person that we interviewed, to say whether or not they knew of any evidence of collusion, coordination or conspiracy between the Trump campaign and the Russians,” Nunes said during an interview on “Sunday Morning Futures.” “Furthermore, what you will see is that we've been asked questions about hearsay. Did they hear anything? Do they know anything? Do they have any leads for us whatsoever?

Nunes knew this in August of 2017.

Don’t forget it was Paul Ryan, chief quisling that was in control of the House, if the Truth ever comes out, we will find that Numerous High Pollutant Elected Officials were in on it from the Beginning, and have actively been blocking the truth from coming out.

The sordid truth is that Bush League Republicans wanted Trump gone as much as the Democrats.

They purposely threw the House to the Democrats in 2018.

“Despite the many barriers put in our way by the then-Republican Majority, and attempts by some key witnesses to lie to us and obstruct our investigation, the transcripts that we are releasing today show precisely what Special Counsel Robert Mueller also revealed: That the Trump campaign, and Donald Trump himself, invited illicit Russian help, made full use of that help, and then lied and obstructed the investigations in order to cover up this misconduct.” Schiff said in a statement.

It sure looks that way....

Thanks to Paul Ryan.

I am really frustrated and bitter that the GOP members who were on this committee were not screaming all of this from the rooftops.

I think many of them either truly believed all of the BS and did not want to stick their neck out or like you said - they did not like Trump either.

That does not change the fact that there was no predicate for the FBI investigation and certainly not for the Special Counsel that Rosenstein appointed. None of them ever demanded to see the underlying predicate - there was none.

There were a few like Nunes, etc, and sadly I think the truth and reality was far worse than they imagined.

Accordingly, the Mueller investigation costs taxpayers $40 million. Isn’t that misappropriation of public funds (theft) and who is going to recover it and from whom? The coup cabal should be made to pay us back!

Is it time to get a good estimate of what the whole collusion crap cost the US taxpayer and sue the participants in a class-action lawsuit?

It is far worse than most can acknowledge to themselves.

It all flows from Usurpation Day.

Obama is prima facia not a natural born citizen because even if born in HI his Kenyan/British subject father made him a Kenyan/British subject at birth, Obama even admitted it on his now scrubbed “fight the smears” website.

Both parties wanted the natural born citizen requirement gutted so they just ignored it.

As a consequence the GOP has been enlisted to assist the Democrats in undermining a legitimate President of their own party.
Not that they don’t have other reasons, primarily their desire for amnesty and open borders.

Yes indeed - they weren't saying a word about it, were they?

Stop making stuff up. How can you be here posting every day and have not seen the numerous article where Nunes and others were indeed shouting this from the rooftops, not to mention being massacred by the media for it? It was constant and regular.

If true they have absolutely no business in positions of power.

.......the Mueller investigation costs taxpayers $40 million. Isn’t that misappropriation of public funds (theft)

REALITY CHECK The Intrastate Commerce Act provides for felony charges against federal officials.

EXCERPT According to Constitutional scholar Rob Natelson, the commerce clause gave Congress power to regulate interstate commerce - not any “matters that have significant spillover effects across state lines.”

The Constitutional Convention rejected the wording of the Virginia Plan, which arguably would have let the Federal government regulate any activity with interstate spillover.

In other words, the Founders made the deliberate decision to leave many activities with spillover effects to the states. Included in the bill’s language are penalties for federal agents violating the state law – in James Madison’s words, interposition, or “standing between” the federal government and the people of the state.

The bill states that any federal agent or employee who attempts to enforce any federal act, rule or regulation over these activities is guilty of a Class 6 felony. While the measure does not seek jail time, it allows fines of up to $2,000. And any state official that tries to enforce a federal law could face a $500 fine.

======================================

In recent years, the commerce clause has been used against politician whose actions deletoriously affect the economy and interstate commerce.....under the Hobbs Act.

>===============================

Schiff, Nanzi and the Dem mob are running the Congress like a classic mob-type “Clip Joint”....taxpayers are being tricked
into paying good money and receive in return nothing but poor Congressional services that are fatally flawed.

"We are looking at abuse of power and a level of corruption here that makes the Nixon episode look like child’s play."

For every Nunes there are 20 human Republican slugs, content to keep their snouts in the public trough. To say the bulk of the Republican party is useless is to diminish the word useless. After Trump they will be a museum exhibit.

Nunes was and I have the utmost respect for him.

I am not making stuff up....

Gowdy told Martha on Fox news that (paraphrased) “if the American people saw and heard what we saw they would want the FBI to do exactly what they did.”

Many members of congress with and R behind their name rarely uttered a peep about this when it would have counted.

Graham is out there talking a good game now.... where was he at?

We have some who fight, but the democrats speak with one voice. If every member of the GOP was out there saying “based on the testimony we have heard - Schiff is lying” I would feel much better about it.

Most of them defended Mueller to the end.

For over a year Schiff said “there was collusion in plain sight.”

I read the transcripts and not one witness said they had evidence of collusion.

Did the GOP fight this lie with unity? No. They defended Mueller.

We have many republicrats that are creatures of the swamp feeding at the trough.

The media and the organs of the state told them a lie and they believed it - “Trump was a pawn of Russia and he was going down.”

Believing the lie was the easiest thing to do regardless of their motive so most of them remained silent while the President was attacked every day and by the same organs of government over which they had oversight. Paul Ryan surrendered the majority in 2018 because they surrendered the narrative to the left just like George Bush did during his presidency - that group did not fight back.

I decided a long time ago that Devin Nunes is just full of sh!t. He has spent 3+ years getting on the Sunday talk shows to complain about FISA abuses ... then going to the House of Representatives on Monday morning and voting to re-authorize the FISA surveillance.
