Well, a quick down payment on that $54 Billion, of $30 Billion per year, can be had by getting rid of ILLEGAL ALIEN COSTS. Yes, it is estimated the states’ cost, both direct and indirect, annually is $30 Billion.

So do you think that Comrade Newsom is going to give up his Marxist power dream for $30 Billion per year??? No, he will continue to bleed that money out of the state tax payers to maintain the one-party status for the DemocRats.

This surprises me. Usually Dem-run governments are very fiscally thrifty and sensible.

You’re “useless eaters”? No, that’s so archaic. You’re now “non essential”. They just have to figure a way to get rid of YOU with minimal damage to THEM. Here’s an idea...have our peons fighting amongst each other.

10. “Divide and govern”

https://www.constitution.org/cmt/freneau/republic2monarchy.htm

Don’t fall for the DC type Divide & Control tactics. Almost 40 million people in the state. Any thinkers?

Wow.

Ya know I always liked prop 13 when I lived there because it benefited me due to being in the home when taxes were reasonable etc. You know. But I think of the poor slobs or first buyers that will be paying 5+ times what I paid in taxes only because I’d been there longer. I always thought they were screwing those people. And what happens when all those older folks die off in the next few years? It’ll make prop 13 a lot less beneficial to a whole lot of folks.

Here’s a chance to institute a 90% income and a 5% wealth tax on the rich, like the Dims want.

After all, the article said poor and middle-income people hit hardest.

Yep, wealth tax. The left has wanted to go after wealth and not just income for a long time. This is the their big opportunity.

The entire state of California is screwed.

The Unionistas and Donkeys have made endless bad choices. The end of the road is in sight. It is a train wreck.

Newsom said Wednesday that the budget can't be balanced without significant help from Washington, D.C.

No.

about $6 billion in additional spending, mainly driven by the state's response to COVID-19.

Maybe?

Here’s a fun site to browse around in...

https://publicpay.ca.gov/

Select the job category, and the city, and find the link to “highest paid employees”.

Examples:

Three Intercollegiate athletic coaches at UCLA: $3,341,707, $2,918,795, and 2,724,497

A long list of professors at UCLA: $750K to $2.5 million each

Enjoy!

Absolutely NOT. Such would be a declaration of war against the entire country. You made a screaming mess out of California and you want US to pay for it? Go to hell, do not pass GO, do not collect .02 cents.

What’s the problem?
Facebook has $54B cash & short term investments on its books.
Google parent Alphabet has $120B.
Apple has $100B.

Newsome and California Dems are for expropriating wealth from the middle class under the rubric of “economic justice”, but they’re fine with high concentrations of wealth among their elite class.
