target shoot to my heart’s content.

= = =

Can you shoot bottles? How about on BLM land?

I’ve had BLM ‘officers’ ask, is that gun registered?

But, I am happy that you have a shooting area.

There are jerk feds out there.

“request an Authorization to Transport (ATT).”

Wow. Someone has too much free time to think of empty rules like that.

The beauty of Catholicism is its lack of rules. There are just two to follow in Catholicism: love the Lord and love your neighbor.

Non-Catholics all through history are good at one thing: making stupid rules. Jesus was blamed for not following the 682.5 rules of the Pharisees. Canada has an oversupply of rules. “Authorization for Transport”? Wow. Freaks love to make rules.

My father showed me the receipt for the house he purchased in Los Angeles in 1960: one page. Today signing up just to rent an apartment involves thirty pages.

It's been illegal to shoot bottles on public lands since the 1980s as I recall. I shoot cans and targets on BLM land. I have never seen a BLM LEO there. But if I did, it helps that I know them personally. Small town. I did have a Sheriff's deputy once drive and ask me what I was shooting as some tourist fishing in the river about 3/4 a mile away complained about "large caliber" handguns being fired. I showed him my black powder flintlock rifle and he left.

If Trump is re-elected we just might do it. I’m an American who wants to return to isolationism and pre-1965 levels of immigration, 300,000 a year. I’m tired of my country being Motel 6 for the whole world.

“Bill C75.”

Guess what that raises in the minds of handgun aficionados?

Yes...they were FIXATED.

I’ll bet money they have access to some database. This didn’t happen before the Obama administration.

I am ashamed of the way you were treated. Most Canadians love Americans. The Canadian government does not believe in freedom any longer. Canadians are victims of liberal fascism. That has to change.

Anti America sentiment is at an all time high in Canada because the political elites of Canada fear a populist political movement like we have in the USA with Donald Trump. Politicians in Canada do not want that to happen because it would remove them from controlling a cowed Canadian Public.

And this is how it plays out at the border. very discourteous and unnecessary jack-booted fascist thug behavior. The Canadian border patrol at times can be wound up so tight they couldn’t fart louder than a mosquito. When the shit hits the fab they can and do shoot at each other, like the RCMP did during the recent massacre of people in Nova Scotia.

I have no respect for any fellow Canadian who supports that type of mal-administration of law.I would apologize to you if I had the authority to do so.

I know, thanks for saying so. I don’t blame individual Canadians for this. They have their equivalents to the likes of Pelosi and Schumer up there.

It happens everywhere-from the Cold War Eastern European Clerks to the American ATF today, the bureaucratic love of power when it ends up in the hands of a lower echelon worker who has the permission to wield it over others.

Dan Bongino told a story the other day that really resonated with me. He recounted how he and his wife (who was a Columbian national at the time) had gone through the legal process for her to become a citizen and were in a meeting to finalize her approval for full citizenship. He said that the guy leaned back in his chair and said “I’ve decided in this case to grant full citizenship.”

He said (and rightly so) that he was angered because her application and background either MET the laws and requirements outlined, or it didn’t. That bureaucrat worked for HIM, not the other way around.

I can understand that completely.

Yes, like I said, I really made an effort not to blame Canadians themselves.

Greater Toronto Area, but IMHO, your “groin tender area” interpretation is highly appropriate and accurate when it comes to fighting crime there. The gangs are kicking the sh*t out of the police there.

About 20 years ago, someone had given me a broken BB pistol thinking I might be able to fix it.

I tossed it on the back seat floor of my car and promptly forgot about it.

Until several months later when I was sitting on a bridge going into Canada waiting to get through Customs.

I suddenly remembered it was there but since I had a bunch of stuff on top of it, it wasn’t visible.

Hmmm, can I just grab it and toss it off the bridge? No. 100 people sill see that stunt.

Hmmm, do I tell the Customs Officer? Not unless he asks.

He didn’t ask. So I drove through Canada to my destination in Buffalo, NY. For Detroit to Buffalo, cutting through Canada shaves about four hours off the trip.

I gave the BB gun to a friend in Buffalo to throw away and headed home.

Entering Canada, the Customs guy says “Do you have anything you shouldn’t have?” then he leans down so his face was a few inches (few centimeters) from mine and says “LIKE A GUN?”

With a sneer, I said “NO” trying to affect my best “I’m sceered of guns” look and went on my way.

And this is what Hillary! and her ilk want for the US. Remember when she and Obama both said we should “look to Australia” for a way to handle “gun violence”?

As if it’s the gun...not the maniac who picks it up...

This sounds like exactly what Australia did. And democrats have specifically told us it’s what they want here. Australia has the same rules, gun and ammo locked in separate locations, trigger lock on an unloaded gun, locked in a safe...expensive abd intrusive permit process, but not as expensive as this. ($200 or so I tbink it said)

Coming to an America near you...go ahead and elect more democrats...

Years ago, my daughter got invited by a classmate to spend a week with their family in Toronto's Chinatown district. Since she was learning Mandarin at the time, she jumped at the invitation and had me check airline tickets from Pittsburgh to Toronto.

Since it was about the same distance as Detroit, I assumed the price would be similar as well. Boy, was I wrong. I ended up driving her up to Buffalo to catch the train to Toronto for a quite reasonable $50 or so each way.

The family she was staying with told her and their daughter to be extra careful traveling outside Chinatown and only do it in the daylight. I thought that was strange given the tendency of Canadians to brag how safe their large cities are compared to ours.

"...I gave the BB gun to a friend in Buffalo to throw away and headed home..."

Heh, heading into Canada over the Peace Bridge! I hear a lot about that "shortcut"!

That's a great story-it reminded me of a time I was in a car with a bunch of friends near a summer beach area, and we had been at a party. We were complaining about traffic being backed up, but as we came around a corner, we saw that the State Police had set up a sobriety roadblock, complete with large spotlights, police, and dogs.

Like you with the BB Gun, there was nothing that could be done. No place to turn around (throw the gun off the bridge!) so all we could do was go forward...

I wasn’t feeling any love from North of the Border

We had a similar experience.

WE were in N. New York State for a wedding.
Since my wife had never seen Niagara Falls I took her over the Border to see the Horseshoe Falls.
Well, at the Border they decided we were sneaking cigarettes into the Country. I guess being from North Carolina was a trigger.
They took us to an area, we sat on the curb while they went through our car, luggage, etc.
I can tell you I really had to bite my tongue.
Did a quick trip to the Falls, and bugged out of Canada. They won't ever see me again.

Toronto is actally worse than Chicago in many opf its boroughs.

China town is safe because they self police, the Tongs and Kingfu schools have an allience with Chinatowns local government. The Chinese actually are safe because of vigilante policies.Any gang that penetrates Chinatown to commit crime will go down, their members disappearing one by one.Thats the state of affairs in Toronto.

Its a dangerous place at night in several of its areas surrounding Chinatown in the downtown area..

Canadian Conservative candidates are often accused before elections of being too American.
