#17. Interesting to see what the death ratio is between blond, white Swedes in general (and the elderly in particular) versus those among their Moslem population, esp. in Malmo.
We can try to compare apples to apples. The much touted scary sounding “case fatality rate” is not consistently defined country by country. So to use it as a basis of comparison is misleading.
On stop it.
Just what do you plan to use if you’re going to ignore
everything provided?
Let’s just not talk about it since nothing can be used
as a marker for comparison.
The mass-hysteria they have hyped over this has been breathtaking; when this is all said and done, there will be a white light of scrutiny on the use of models, Fauci, China, the media.
People don’t want a damned thing from China these days, and if there is ANY silver lining to be had, the airlines are talking of getting rid of the middle seat!
Open this country up now!
Instead, let’s make misleading comparisons using data that has not been defined, scrutinized, or examined for accuracy.
Take it to the Climate Change crowd.
Coronavirus can infect animals, so there can be non-human reservoirs of disease. Although it can somewhat burn out in the human population, I wouldn’t expect it to ever completely vanish. Ultimately it seems to me that we need to achieve herd immunity in order to calm the contagion. Now that we know more about the virus and potential treatments, continuing the lockdowns sacrifices our economies without eliminating the virus. Fortunately, it isn’t the plague. Sweden will provide us with important data, and hopefully an injection of sanity.
You beat me to it Ace.
Please provide your sources that explain how Spain, Germany,
France, and Italy count their dead differently than Sweden.
Thank in advance Pumpkin.
I don’t think it has been.
They have done certain things that help to protect vulnerable
groups. They also work from home when they can.
There is not the total shutdown that it’s neighbors have
instituted.
She pretty much confirms what I was led to believe.
Sweden has not locked down their nation to the degree,
Spain, France, Germany, and Italy have. And those
nations have a higher Death Per Million figure than
Sweden does.
Keep at it doughy one. You posted the garbage you defend it.
So in other words, you’ve got nothing at all to back up
your nonsense.
Thanks for the confirmation.
I at lease posted something. You?
Well, you had an attitude and thought that counted for
something.
When I post something I try to make sure it at least makes logical sense.
But in your honor, you can see my post of about one minute ago.
I simple said I don't like that wording because it debases the value of people as a whole. If that offends you go live with the communist if you are happy with being equated to a animal. Me I value humans more than animals.
As for locking everyone up I feel it is a waste. Not everyone is in dire need of protection.
Not really sure what gave you the impression I was weak. You must not have very good judgment if that is the way it came off. Or you have low reading comprehension. In case you have not heard it before word matter.
It may very well be that the appx. 10K extra size-adjusted fatalities Sweden registered was "worth it" when you compare the financial costs. But let's check out the financial costs Sweden is about to experience first, i.e.: "A lot of small businesses are on their knees because production is down or has decreased a lot. It is not business as usual in Sweden but the opposite, things are very, very tough."
If that was your idea of logical sense, you and I have two
different views on what makes logical sense.
FAIL!
Are they less tough than here?
There are close to 30 million people out of work now.
Is there a down side to that? Are their families expendable?
Is their life savings expendable. Are people’s fortunes
wrapped up in their businesses, expendable?
I’m not saying Sweden is the model we should all switch to.
I’ve addressed the pros and cons. I’m just not convinced
that months more of sheltering in place is going to lead
to a better future for anyone.
Swedish “herd immunity” is a joke—not happening in 2020.
The real infection rate is probably under 5% at this point, and most Swedes are practicing social distancing and common sense.
Drs. Fauci and Birx already said this weeks ago during one of the daily White House COVID-19 Task Force press briefings.
The 50k+ dead in the US from COVID19 may pale in comparison to those who commit suicide out of financial despair. If we've won the war, let's not lose the peace.
Thanks DoodleBob. I agree with your take there.
