That’s not what I read from his comments.

Sorry, no sympathy from me for gambling going under. Nevada needs to figure out something else of value to offer the world.

Something more than broken lives and addictions.

Gambling produces nothing of intrinsic value. The entire gambling industry/economy can go under for all I care.

Good Advice! This needs to be remembered by every voter in the upcoming elections. It should be obvious by now where most of our nation’s problems are coming from. Vote accordingly!

Maybe it’s all the smells and bells and repetitious chants that has his panties in a wad.

I think the author, like most on the right, knows but is afraid to speak the whole truth - that this is a deliberate destruction of the economy. Why? Because they know they will be called paranoid extremists for telling the truth.

They think the average person will refuse to believe that the Rats are wrecking the economy in the hopes of destroying Trump in November. That, if they are successful in taking the WH and both houses, they will never relinquish control. We will have “mail in” voting forever which will amazingly enough always go 75%+ Rat. The Soviet Union reconstituted in North America.

IMO, we are now in the middle of the most critical time in the history of the republic. Yes, despite the lack of serious bloodshed (so far), this is more threatening to the future of this country than the War Between the States, erroneously referred to as the Civil War.

In New York, even if official death figures are to be believed (unlikely), the death rate per 100,000 is 1/2 of the suicide rate. Take out the nursing home type facilities and the rate plummets even more.

Our society has lost the critical reasoning ability to assess risk, particularly in matters of life or health.

What else does our society not comprehend? The laws of diminishing returns and unintended consequences. They are called “laws” because they are immutable and nothing man can do will change that.

I’m 68, not a 25 year old superman, saying that.

PS: January 2019 I got the flu which became pneumonia and I nearly died. My doctor said after that because I work at home I was not getting exposed enough to people to develop & maintain a full resistance to these things.

After it's TOO LATE they'll see what they've done to themselves.

You can bet they'll go out "kicking & screaming" for a government bailout to rescue them from their bass ackwards thinking.

Nevada, like no other state, is totally dependent on tourism. If tourism dies, the state will die.

For sure. We went through the AZ/NV border town of Mesquite, NV and the freaking place looks like a ghost town. They have three casinos and the parking lots look like some of those "Day After" movies. LOTTA service people are hurting, and I'll bet the city's budget is in ruins.

Beaches in Jacksonville were opened for awhile, and I bet if you did a search you would find others as well.

Besides, what’s wrong with walking to a beach?

”If tourism dies, the state will die.”

More absurd hyperbole. Was Nevada dead in 1940? 1920?
