They are so not busy that they cut the pay of the staff but then gave the executives their bonuses.
Yah. THAT’s gonna leave a mark!!!
This is the payout of bonuses earned in 2019. Depending on their pay structure, a lot of lower level people are probably eligible for payout of their 2019 bonuses, too.
They certainly were tone-deaf paying these out a week after cutting staff pay. They could have deferred the payout of 2019 bonuses by six months.
Typical of how top administrators in hospitals are paid extra while laying off or cutting hours for the front line workers.
We need to be more sensitive. It’s not cheap getting your wine and caviar delivered and having your Mercedes picked up for service.
A seiously, people this stupid and insensitive to public relations are running the place?
It’s getting talked about, but not enough in my opinion. A lot of hospitals cut back on their services so much that their cash flow disappeared. Not nearly enough patients. So now they cut back workers, and some hospitals may go out of business. That could be a long-term hit to our healthcare infrastructure.
We worried so much about not overwhelming hospitals with too many patients that we ended up decreasing our infrastructure due to too few patients.
None of this played out as they said it would.
Why should they get such lucrative bonuses anyways?
Why not give bonuses to the people doing all the dirty work instead of those at the top who are just skimming the cream anyways?
Well at least my wife’s health care employers took a larger pay cut at the management level then at her level due to the loses in elective and non urgent activities.
The term, “bad optics”, was coined for this! Wowww...
Executives get raises and drones get the boot.
SOP in healthcare and government.
Totally tone deaf.
Great, now they can finally afford that $13 a Pint Ice Cream recommended by Nancy Pelosi.
