Now I remember why I never watched that show after the first episode, even though I like James Spader.
I must be too literal, but I saw the villain as representative of villains only. I did get a kick out of the villain saying he was interested in quickly setting the narrative, which I thought was very educational and if I wanted to be non-literal and more into symbology, it could have been applied more easily to Leftists.

Did you watch the ENTIRE episode? I thought that the point here was not against all gun manufacturers, just the bozos that make the cheap guns used by the ‘hood rats, then pay off the press not to blame them.
It was obvious that Red was quite upset watching the girl at the Convenience Store get murdered over very little, and made sure that the robber’s recidivism rate dropped to 0.00%. I also liked his soliloquy when he confronted the gun manufacturer, making a point of letting him know the difference between weapons and a “Saturday Night Special”. Nice touch to use one of them to get his point across at the end.
But yes, I was quite chagrined when Ressler used the NRA/2nd Amendment reference. Definite sop to the Leftist, probably a peacock requirement. And I really do wish they would finally let the whole Katrina Rostova thread complete. Either really kill the woman, or have her take out Ilya and just disappear.
Most websites automatically set browsers to redirect to the secure site these days. Guess it’s good to have the option.

I stopped watching middle of 3rd season. The PC crap was out of control.
I WAS a big fan of The Blacklist, not so much anymore. I am thinking about dropping it from my TIVO.
The show has changed. New writers, directors, something. It’s NOT the show it once was.
Also they killed off some of the best characters, Mr. Kaplan, Tom, Samar, Eric. Now Brian Dennehy, who played Elizabeth’s grandfather has actually died, (God rest his soul).
And MISCAST Laila Robins as the older Katarina Rostova. It says she is 61, but she looks 81! I know James Spader is no longer a heartthrob, but even he could do better than Laila Robins.
Elizabeth needs to kill another high ranking government official, bring Tom back from the dead, they brought Elizabeth back, (I know he’s doing some hospital show), dig up Mr. Kaplan! Drop some more bad guys out of airplanes into somebody’s living room. MORE RUSSIANS! Elizabeth needs to be in almost every scene! Some at the beach!
NONE of that will happen, so I guess I’ll be saying dasvidaniya to The Blacklist.

I stopped watching the show about 2-3 years ago. I’m surprised it’s still airing.

I’ve barely gone past season 4 and it can be very lengthy across several episodes to fully understand the plots, and plots within plots, within plots....
When the female lead of the show demanded that “assault weapons” no longer be featured in the show, I didn’t quit watching, but understood this show was targeting
a blue audience.
I have enjoyed the show. But when the direction of the plot became apparent, I changed the channel. Period.
Poor folks don’t have the right to affordable self protection ????
