There will NEVER be a ‘proven safe’ vaccine. There may, someday, be a vaccine with an ‘acceptable’ level of damage/loss of life, as with ALL current vaccines.
But, for me? I’ll borrow from the pro-baby-murder crowd. My body, my choice. And, I choose ‘No’.
It’ll be interesting to see how much STD rates slow this year, especially WHICH STD’s.
This whole thing highlights that there are consequences to immoral behavior, there’s no such thing as “just casual sex”. The left today cannot call ANY kind of sexual behavior inappropriate or wrong. Just ask any of them, it says a lot when there’s, suddenly, no such thing as a pervert.
i don’t care about the masks, but if my local stores tape off “non essential” items, I won’t go back there when it is all over.

“normalize the wearing of masks in public”: Nope.
“practice social distancing”: No.
“church .. congregants should not go around hugging and shaking hands just yet”: Yes. Never resume.
“screening people before entry.”: No.
“people just stay home when they are sick.”: Well, duh.
Basically, get real and ask when/if ANY of this was ever decreed for the flu or any other recent epidemic.

Oh for God’s sakes. Its a flu. In a year from now nobody will be talking about this. Remember Zika and West Nile virus? Yeh. We locked down the whole country over a flu that couldnt even kill more of us than the seasonal flu.
All of our cases are related to one or two cases and involve social workers or medical personnel who came into contact with them.
If you are just Joe Schmo going to the grocery store, you have a very slight chance of getting the virus, especially if you glove up and wear a mask.
If you go to Kroger here without a mask, everyone stares at you. If you go to Food Lion with a mask, everyone stares at you.

I wouldn’t recommend gloving up. That’s because gloves give a false sense of security, but are just as capable of spreading virus as bare hands. Wash hands frequently. If you do wear gloves, be as mindful of what you touch as if your hands are bare, and wash your hands when you remove the gloves. There is also a proper technique for glove removal to protect yourself from anything that might infect you.
The mask and gloves is what gets me really charged up. I understand the need for such medical protective equipment in limited, specific situations (such as visiting grandma or visiting the ICU), and as a temporary measure (I know this is a dangerous term as “temporary” has a much different meaning to “experts” and particularly to politicians than it does to normal people) in certain limited congested spaces. But I sure as hell don’t want America to resemble an infirmary in some third-world fauci-hole of a country, and I don’t want a constant reminder that we’re all “gonna die” someday. ... Therefore, I reject the “new normal” (a disgusting phrase if ever there was one) that is being so heavily promoted by “experts”, certain politicians, the media and social/media ... and by Hannity!
