They are the council and certainly have many solid connections with the business industries....they’ve had numerous meetings with them for 3 yrs plus now.

Then go outside of D.C. If you want an advisory council on how best to reopen the country they wouldn't it be better to stock that council with business leaders, the very people who know what it would take for them to restart their businesses, rather than two dozen members of your administration, most of whom of dubious competence?
By now they know full well the hate directed toward them, so you might even see a move to the right on their part. Well, one can hope.

Agree with you, I believe the net rationale for Jared and Ivanka being on this panel is the advice that they have given Trump in the past. We do not know how much he trusts them, but I would bet it is pretty high.
Both have been with him since before the election, so there is a history of trust that has to be understood.
Both represent the younger generation who are intimately involved with the decision of going back to work. (People in my age category are intimately involved with staying safe but we miss out friends and our dining out.)
Because they know business, won’t leak, and he trusts them.

He’s completely losing it. I’m sure he’s under immense, unbelievable pressure and I’m not saying anyone could do “better” but he’s making some MAJOR mistakes at this point, and has been pretty much all along on CV19.
