Linda Tripp, whistleblower in Clinton-Lewinsky sex scandal, near death

Linda Tripp, whose secret conversations with former White House intern Monica Lewinsky led to the impeachment of President Bill Clinton in 1998, is seriously ill and near death, according to a Facebook posting by her daughter.
“My mommy is leaving this earth. I don’t know myself if I can survive this heartache. Please pray for a painless process for the strongest woman I will ever know in my entire lifetime,” Allison Tripp Foley posted on Facebook late Tuesday, adding that she was at her 70-year-old mother’s bedside. Her profile was later made private.
Tripp’s son-in-law, Thomas Foley, told The Post that he was unable to share any information about her condition.
“I think right now it’s a family situation,” he said Wednesday.

She is indeed the bravest of women for going up against the Clinton Cartel, almost singlehandedly.

Brave, absolutely. This woman endured the slings and arrows, not to mention the guillotine of the press, to get the truth out about a President who could easily have been blackmailed into doing evil things to our country. Not that he didn’t anyway.
Rest In Peace, Ms Tripp. You are/were an important member of our history.

That’s very sad. She was one of the bravest women I’ve heard of. She did the right thing, pretty much sure of the fact that her name would be Mudd forevermore. And the girl whose life she most likely saved turned on her.
