The liberal group Demand Justice is knocking Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) for discussing judicial nominations during the coronavirus pandemic, urging voters to tell him "no more distractions."
The progressive outside group is going up with a digital ad, obtained by The Hill ahead of its release, that will run on both Facebook and Instagram, targeting Kentucky and national audiences.
"The country needs emergency relief now, not more extremist judges who will vote to overturn the Affordable Care Act and take away health care from millions when they need it most. American lives are at stake. McConnell needs to get back to work," said Brian Fallon, the executive director of Demand Justice.
The more than half-minute ad starts by referencing McConnell's comments in a recent Hugh Hewitt interview that the impeachment trial distracted Congress from acting quickly on the coronavirus early on.

"Demand Justice is a left-of-center advocacy group created in early 2018 that aims to influence the political leanings of Americas courts by supporting the appointment of liberal judicial nominees and opposing right-of-center nominees. The organization acts primarily through media campaigns against nominated and unconfirmed judicial nominees."
hey...dims were doing impeachment during the run up to this virus mess.
I think Congress can spend trillions more and pass new judges.
but if this virus was a setup, they had the added bonus of stopping new judges being appointed.
Pass them. Life doesn’t have to stop everywhere
Is this “ progressive group “ also slamming Bug Eyes and SanFranNan for pushing for further investigations into the White House handling of the Wuhan Virus during this height of the storm ?
Of course, everyone knows the answer to that.
So Pelosi is busy on her Christmas shopping list but McConnell is battered for doing his job.
Its never a bad time to put conservative judges on the bench in order to outnumber the socialist judges.
Elections have consequences.
A good time for some SCOTUS entertainment. Everyone’s home. The surest way to make it happen is for Thomas or one of the older conservatives calls its a career.
The Turtle needs to not just discuss judicial picks. He needs to ram every single last one of Trump’s judicial nominees through the Senate and get them seated.
But they didn’t have a problem with using hearsay to impeach a president during a pandemic.
Thomas and Alito are both fairly old. As much as I love Justice Thomas, it would be a good thing if he were to step down and let Trump appoint his successor now just in case. Alito is almost 70 so he could retire too.
As long as abortion clinics are open and liberals are fight for that, any subject is fair game. Especially judicial picks.
I think this might have to wait until 2021. Schumer and Pelosi will be in front of every press microphone with a double slam of "Meany Mitchie McConnell wouldn't let us stack the court in 2016, same rules now" and "President Trump has to do more to manage the Coronavirus, and hasn't got time to do anything else".
The worst part is that this will get plenty of air time on the DNC Lame Stream Media. Heck, they're not even showing the daily briefings anymore, so they have more than enough time on their nightly propaganda pronouncements to fit this in.
Doin' the Lefty Hokey Pokey...
Just imagine how nuts the left will get if RBG takes a dirt nap before the November election.
These “progressive” (communist) losers are just political hacks trying to get noticed to fire up their base who are staying home due to the Wuhan virus. It isn’t working. It must drive them crazy that POTUS is front and center, every day, on many many channels that the temporary shut ins see/hear. Some of these shut-ins are seeing for the POTUS for the first time, first hand without the main stream media filter. POTUS is coming across as a bipartisan person working tirelessly on this issue and trying to get the problem solved and keep America’s hope alive. He’ll pick up more votes.
Anyway, the important government business cannot stop, and that includes the appointment of judges. Besides, we found out by 2.2 trillion spending bill at least one House doesn’t have to make a personal appearance to cast their vote. Sour grapes that leftist whiner.
The job is still there to be done. The world can’t be stopped so the progressives can get off nor the job not get done.
Wish I posted that :)
