Under the law that created the position of the inspector general for the intelligence community, the president can only remove that person a month after notifying the intelligence communities of his intentions and rationale.

Not to anyone more corrupt, but a lot more equally corrupt. Corrupt is binary, one either is or is not. It’s like being a “little bit pregnant.” There ain’t no such thing.
Once we know they are corrupt—willing to sell out the American people—the degree is only a matter of how deep they are swimming in the swamp. Once they’ve stuck their toe in, they’ve shown their willingness to jump in until they’re bottom feeders.
The swamp denizens know this and know they have them for the rest of their lives and will exploit that dirty toe to drag them further in.
PERHAPS, we can pull them back with a lot of effort to counter the sucking effect of the swamp on that toe. . .

It’s too easy to dip one’s toe into that damn sucking swamp when one works in the wet waters of power. It’s too damn attractive to exercise one’s power corruptly. “Well, we’re not supposed to reveal this information, but I’ll make an exception for you... just this once.“ Once one does, they’ve got ya! “Oh, do you happen to recall that time you did a favor for good ol’ Soandso? Well, if you don’t do the same for me, I will tell your boss about what Soandso did for you!” . . . and now they’re ankle deep. Pretty soon, the swamp has flowed over the top of their head and they’re willing to do anything.
