Why do I get the feeling that HIV makes one more likely to die from this disease?
If there is an urgent blood supply problem, where is the appeal to the population? Where are the bloodmobiles and the blood collection stations? Why aren’t all the dictatorial governors, mayors, and county commissioners who have been quick to shut down the economy appealing to the stay at home population to “carefully” leave their homes and visit the blood donation stations the government, hospitals and Red Cross have set up throughout the community? Why isn’t Fauci using his ample press time to appeal for blood donations?
If there were really a national blood emergency it would be easy to fix it with the establishment of publicized collection points and a strong appeal to the population which has nothing to do. Is government asleep at the switch or is this just one more media amplified social justice initiative of the left?
Meanwhile, the lifetime ban on blood donations from people like me who survived cancer continues. Cancer does not have civil rights, apparently.

Now, the FDA has approved blood donations by people at high-risk of having HIV. It is safe, they say, because they will test the donated blood.
This is criminal crazy. People at high-risk should continue to be disqualified from giving blood. Keep their blood out of the system - don't rely on testing to find the tainted blood.
Innocent people will die that didn't have to die.
They are unhappy that more people did not get CV, so now they want more infected with AIDS.
What is the urgent need for blood? People are postponing elective surgery, and surely there are much fewer automobile accidents with much fewer people on the roads.
How about restricting the blood to gay donees first, to see how that goes...
We do not need filthy sodomite bodily fluids.
This is COMPLETELY OUTRAGEOUS. Our national blood supply is TOTALLY RUINED.
Next time you need a transfusion, you *will* get HIV and so will your spouse.

How is this going to change much? I highly doubt very many homosexuals were waiting a year just to donate blood - the few that actually do donate probably just lie about how long it’s been since they’ve visited the chocolate star.
Personal banking of blood may be a wise option.
If you cannot see that this virus is being used to change the very fabric of America, you are not paying attention.
If you feel giving up American freedom and exceptionalism is wise in the face of a virus, you were never truly taught what it takes to be free.
