Russian humanitarian aid for the United States will be paid for. Presidents of the countries agreed that the United States will pay the Russian Federation for ventilation devices, medicines and protective equipment that the Federal Emergency Management Agency sent to New York on April 1, as the U.S. Department of State reported.

“The countries of the G20 agreed last week to work together to defeat the coronavirus, and we are working closely with these countries and others to ensure that critically needed supplies get to those in need… As a follow-up to the March 30 phone call between President Trump and President Putin, the United States has agreed to purchase needed medical supplies, including ventilators and personal protection equipment, from Russia, which were handed over to FEMA on April 1 in New York City,” the message says.

It was also noted that both countries had provided humanitarian assistance to each other in times of crisis in the past and will no doubt do so again in the future.

Earlier, it was reported that Russia had dispatched medical supplies to USA amid Covid-19 outbreak

I don’t see a problem with that.

Looks like a Uke site explaining that we are paying Russia for medical supplies and drugs or something like that.

All the war material we sent those f’ing Russians during WW2 and they never paid us a dime for it. And now they pull this?

Nor do I. They had something we need so we bought it from them? Why is that a problem?

I don't see any problem whatsoever. Paging Adam Schiff.

the news accounts of the shipment have failed to report it was purchased, even suggesting it was sent as a goodwill gesture from Putin. No it doesn’t mean a hill of beans, but good to know, nonetheless.

Oh please. Not before those bastards were allies of the Germans and invaded Poland and Finland. They didn’t fight the Germans in North Africa, Sicily or Italy. They didn’t posses a navy that ended the U boat fleet in the North Atlantic nor did they posses a strategic air force that pounded German cities and war industries into dust. And they didn’t fight the Japanese all through the islands of the Pacific.

The didn’t posses a navy that put the Imperial Japanese navy at the bottom of the Pacific nor an air force that fire bombed Japanese cities and they sure as hell didn’t develop and deploy two atomic bombs that bought Japan to the surrender table. I’m so sick and tired of that Russian bs about how they won the war.

Agree. We should be mad at OUR .gov for wasting our treasure on pork and being unprepared for the true threats facing us. Also, angry for leaving us dependent on other nations.

I’m not sick and tired of facts . I’m sick and tired of Russian bs about how they won the war. They didn’t. The fact of the matter is they didn’t pay for any of the war material we sent them. The only nation that did was great Britain. Every dime. With interest.

Getting Russia to embrace free-market economics and ditch their Cold War paranoia would be a good thing IMHO.
