30 year old athlete, went to hospital Friday and was sent home where he died Sunday.

Not far away in Bayonne, a 67 year old man and his 27 year old son died on the same day.

It's going to be an ugly few weeks.

Sad. Sounds like the cytokine storms of past pandemics.

I wish we could send all of China to Mars - minus the dogs.

Disgusting people.

Probably they’re sending people home too soon because they’re afraid of running out of beds.

Sounds like he had an underlying issue and the coroner hasn’t revealed it yet.

“He was a healthy, strong, athletic, 30-year-old head coach.”

What about that statement indicates he had an underlying condition?

Luderer went to the hospital last Friday when he felt symptoms consistent with coronavirus, according to Porfido, but he was sent home.

“I was told things went bad on Sunday night,” Porfido said. “He died at his home.”
***************************************
“symptoms consistent with coronavirus” is NOT EQUAL to actually having and dying from the coronavirus. Just sayin’.

Why do you think that? From what I can tell this thing can take down totally healthy people like a viper. One day they don't feel well and couple of days later they're gone.

I realize it might be more reassuring to think that there was some other issue, one that we don't have, but not sure that's the case with this monster.

Deadliest place to be with this virus, is the hospital.

The Spanish Flu one hundred years ago did much the same. However this virus kills mainly the ones with weak immune systems. It will kill some apparently healthy victims but they are finding people with undiagnosed conditions when the look closer. The Spanish Flu killed 600,000+ in the USA and 65 million plus worldwide. They did not even know the cause during the pandemic from 1918 to 1920. We know what is doing this but despite all our scientific advances we still are ignorant about many things.

Not saying it is true in this case but HIV is not being counted as an underlying condition. There may be other autoimmune diseases that don’t get publicized.

Extremely well stated.

“Spot on” would be an understatement.

He shoulda gone back to a different ER on Saturday.

It took me two tries at the same ER to get my appendix extracted, and even the second visit was a close call on the diagnostic side of things. The surgery team asked me why I waited so long to stop by...

These anecdotal reports about an individual death are absolutely useless and tell us nothing about this virus. Just because someone says he was perfectly healthy 30 year old doesn’t mean he actually was. This happens with the Flu sometimes too. Usually turns out there was something else going on
