Corona Test bump, in the unlikely event I need it.

Yes I saw that one too. SO that’s three on record. We need 100 more.

No doubt, some are making that very calculation. And, no doubt, there are deep-state foot-draggers in the various federal health agencies.

However, clinical testing is a necessary step in approving any medicine. These tests are proceeding at hyper-speed. It normally takes several years (often, seven) to take a new drug through all the approval processes. These drugs were tested for other purposes; so, AFAIK, the current testing is focused mainly on efficacy.

In 1976, an inadequately-tested vaccine was administered to about 40 million Americans, to protect against the Swine Flu outbreak. Later, it was found to have little positive effects on outcomes; and it caused many people to develop Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS).

That bit of history haunts all infectious-disease officials today. They have to weigh the risks of rushing, vs. the risk of following all the protocols.

FWIW (very little, probably), I’m very hopeful about these new treatments — but, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to do some clinical trials, before expanding use beyond patients who are dying.

Note that zPack is another name for azithromycin. It’s like Advil is the same as ibuprofen. We ought to call the whole set The Trump Cure, or the TrumpPack.

Statistical significance depends partly on the number tested, and partly on the power of the treatment. If these treatments are as effective as they seem; an even smaller sample would tell the story. So, yes, this study should produce useful information.

I am not real big on Corsi, but this Skype interview with Dr. C Graves indicates an organization of 37 thousands actual medical doctors have been battling with the Federal Medical establishment, and were actually responsible for getting the hydroxychloroquine, and Azythromax family of antibiotics message through to the POTUS, as they are having success reducing the fight and taking down SARS/COVID-19.

https://youtu.be/l-L4RVY2gPk

Actually sounds like an ongoing effort.

I have known of her, and while a bit humble, she is who she says she is.

Millions have taken this every year since 1955.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

"World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines, the safest and most effective medicines needed in a health system.[5]

Hydroxychloroquine

The wholesale cost in the developing world is about US$4.65 per month as of 2015, when used for rheumatoid arthritis or lupus.[6]

In the United States the wholesale cost of a month of treatment is about US$25 as of 2020.[7]

In the United Kingdom this dose costs the National Health Service about £5.15.[8]

In 2017, it was the 128th most prescribed medication in the United States with more than five million prescriptions.[9]

More than that. Some of these drugs are currently prescribed on a regular basis -- not for malaria, but for certain types of arthritis and lupus.

There's a concern a lot of doctors are prescribing it to themselves and/or their families as a prophylactic and using up the supply for existing patients, let alone Coronavirus sufferers.

Fortunately it's off-patent so cheap and easy to make: Mylan Pharmaceuticals for example has a big plant in West Virginia they're taking out of mothballs or something to produce this.

There is. A team of Chinese doctors and South Korean doctors published before anyone else. There have been other American doctors who have reported good results, but they are ignored by the mainsteram media. Research that back up these findings started as far back as 2015. The evidence is there, but it is deliberately being ignored.

That makes sense. When something is the consensus, every little fact that seems to support it get vacuumed up and amplified. But when it’s not, each individual is pushing on string.

It would be great if someone could systematically collect all the cases including the ones you cite.
