“Government Tyranny! And for what? Doctors have the right to use drugs off label. Restrictions are against Drug Manufacturers to advertise off label. Patients should sue this ignorant and dangerous Governor.”
President Trump needs to step in and stop this State Governor’s tyranny. If any person in Michigan dies because the two meds, hydroxychloroquine and Z-pac were denied to that patient, I hope the persons involved sue the hell out of this so called governor.
“Man, if I or someone was sick, wed cross state lines for treatment options
I want to know that no Michigan politician or family member will receive this treatment...”
The problem is, you may end up so sick that you would not be able to even stand up or walk.
This is ABSOLUTE B.S. and we Freepers obediently follow like damn Lemmings. If you click into it just a little deeper, you can read the ACTUAL order: https://www.michigan.gov/documents/lara/Reminder_of_Appropriate_Prescribing_and_Dispensing_3-24-2020_684869_7.pdf
It is not about Trials or legitimate use. It is about wacky Docs prescribing/hoarding these drugs for themselves or thier families. Does anyone out there care about anything real?
“Im beginning to get thefeeling that some POLITICAL marching orders is responsible for these DemocRAT governors strange interference with doctors medical judgement. They should be held LEGALLY & FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE for any resulting deaths & injuries that stem from their EXTRA-LEGAL DECREES.”
That was the first thought that crossed my mind when I first read about this last night. I guess Whitmer is being a “good little democrat”. I am so glad that I live in Texas.
Good on you!!
That gov is stupit....

Lolz, I could be on that drug now for arthritis.
People take it for years for that, lupus, malaria.
People take it for years
For china virus they need to take it for a week or 2
If it works better than a vaccine we wait years for, we may all have to take it or some version of it to prevent infection, not just treat it

I think youre missing the below critical piece which is essentially ruling out prescribing Hydroxychloroquine for COVID-19. Many here believe (correctly, IMHO) that THAT is the intent and the rest of the verbiage is largely to camouflage this real intent. And we further believe that there is a POLITICAL REASON for this intentional restriction of Hydroxychloroquine for treating CIVID-19 patients.
...Prescribing hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine without further proof of efficacy for treating COVID-19 ... may create a shortage for patients with lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, or other ailments for which chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine are proven treatments....
I have to wonder whether the hordes of leftists in Michigan who have a loved one in the ICU would really tolerate their governor withholding a potentially lifesaving med just to stand fast against Trump. Just doesn’t make sense. Why are other hard left Governors, like Cuomo indicating “hope” regarding these drug trials? I think there’s got to be more to the story. I don’t doubt for a moment these Dem Gov’s hatred for Trump. But I do doubt their willingness to commit political suicide by banning a treatment which may very possibly be hailed as a miracle in a couple of weeks.
“And is it riskier than, say, Ibuprofen?”
We don’t know. All we do know is it has risk in use period. But the thought is, I think, that if you hand a drug over to an at risk patient, and not be able to ascertain what dosage is tolerable for the needs of the use, you’re rolling the dice. And the patients that seem to have the more need are the same ones that the drug has problems with. It could be like picking up the wrong bucket and pouring gas on a fire to put it out. Give them time to find out what is feasible before throwing it out there.
They have had some success with the testing. And they are looking into the use of a lot of different drugs that do different things like remdesivir, hydroxychloroquine, favilavir, TJM2, AT-100, and a few more to get the best results with the least danger. Rome wasn’t built in a day and it even took God 6 days to create the earth. We aren’t that good.

THE LETTER under discussion. We should probably all read it first...
“That drug is still seen as experimentalIncorrect.
It goes back over 70 years. It does not have an approved indication for this virus. It is legal to use a drug for off patent indications and this is often done for many drugs. I was on this drug when I worked in Nigeria.
Hubby and I took the cholorquine for 2 1/2 years that we were stationed in Ethiopia and continued for another 6 weeks after we got back to the States.
‘So now we have politicians more qualified than doctors when it comes to patient treatment...”
How much does anyone want to bet that Whitmer would not with hold these two meds for anyone in Dearborastan who would be diagnosed with the COVID-19. Just a thought.
Neither of these drugs are experimental, they've both been in use for years. This use of them is "off-label", meaning the drug was not intended to be used this way....but it does work.
Too bad our Governess doesn't just close all the fish supply folks...how stupid does she think we are?
I could never live with an idiot reminist like her, even if the sex was hot and heavy anytime I wanted it.
I could never live with an idiot feminist like her, even if the sex was hot and heavy anytime I wanted it.
Betcha some members of MI’s state legislature are already on the combo.
Any journos care to call around to get a confirm or deny...?
