I wish he could, but the Line Item Veto was ruled Unconstitutional.

They should have just told Congress they each get a Million Taxpayer Dollars for their pet causes with the rest of the Money being used ONLY for things related to the Coronavirus.

“Trump is WAY too loving of Pelosi’s latest Porkulus.”

No. he’s not. This is a required emergency action. President Trump is correct.

There are way more Cheap Labor Express stooges that need to be thrown out of the party before we start throwing real conservatives out.

Start with the Amnesty Senators, Grahamnesty, Rubio, Hoeven, Murkowsky.

Agreed.

Trump is too bought in on all the bad stuff, the $6T, giving the unaudited Fed the $4T role, the massive incentives for workers not to work.

Means well, and they’ve got him boxed in. But still. Going after a GOP Rep is not the solution.

Just deem the constitution unconstitutional,
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They already did that when they decided that children of foreigners born with more than ONE nationality are natural born citizens.
What’s amazing to me is that 100% of Congress, except for Massie, was cool with conducting business without a quorum.
Yes he is.
At least half of that Porkulus bill is KR@P.
Trump needs to figure out a better way to smack Pelousy and the ‘Rats down.
Certainly in the long run.
He may have a plan, but needs to telegraph some details of it.
So what...most of what they do now is already unconstitutional. Fight it out in November.
I agree way too much port in this thing.Not sure why folks on social security are getting $1200 stimulus checks when they have not been disadvantaged economically by the corona crisis.Their ss check is not any the less because of the crisis.This is an economic crisis for those who have been unemployed from the crisis and businesses and it would seem that money is better served going to those who are going to need it rather than currying favor with different interest groups and the AARP lobby
That’s a nice thought..i was hoping against hope they wouldn’t pass this monstrosity. The 2 Trillion was for the worst case scenario and it looks like we have possible avoided it. Not to mention the model claiming 2 million people was wrong.
“Massie has been a pretty good conservative from what I’ve seen (not my rep, though). I don’t have a problem with the tactic, but the timing isn’t great.”
********************************************************
Speaking of timing... A ONE DAY DELAY WILL NOT DELAY THE ISSUANCE OF THE INDIVIDUAL PAYMENTS. Relevant government staffers and contractors are going “balls to the wall” doing the necessary systems work to do this. This work is continuing and will not be put “on pause” because of the call for the House to do its job. I personally know a couple of folks involved in the “critical path” of this effort.
(1/11)I swore an oath to uphold the constitution, and I take that oath seriously.
In a few moments I will request a vote on the CARES Act which means members of Congress will vote on it by pushing “yes” or “no” or “present.”
(2/11)The Constitution requires that a quorum of members be present to conduct business in the House. Right now, millions of essential, working-class Americans are still required to go to work during this pandemic such as manufacturing line workers, healthcare professionals,
(3/11) pilots, grocery clerks, cooks/chefs, delivery drivers, auto mechanics, and janitors (to name just a few). Is it too much to ask that the House do its job, just like the Senate did?
(4/11) I am not delaying the bill like Nancy Pelosi did last week. The bill that was worked on in the Senate late last week was much better before Speaker Pelosi showed up to destroy it and add days and days to the process.
“At least half of that Porkulus bill is KR@P.”
Well that may be In your opinion. President Trump disagrees and says 90% is good.
Think I’ll go with President Trump in a national emergency.
President Trump is not wrong acting on this National Emergency.
You’re probably reacting to gaslighting information.
I’m sticking with President Trump, and proud.
Those are good examples.
There is likely no shortage of differences with[from?] me, but Trump is GREAT!, especially compared to the alternatives.
