Yes, point +1
How long? If you can't see your house/apartment - it's too long!
Okay, I don't know that, but it is craziness.
Do you believe the article this morning about the virus? I sent it to my nephew, I will try to find it.
But it says if an infected person is in an area breathing, the droplets do not disburse like one might think...within minutes....but that they can infect someone visiting that area hours later.
I have no background in medicine and have no way to check it’s veracity. But, if so, it would make things worse than I first supposed.
Post of the day!
Right, this shut down must stop.
Are we going to have to shut down every time a Influenza virus erupts?
The problem with that is this pathogen behaves differently. Mildly symptomatic victims can be highly contagious. That said, transmission by people out bike riding or walking / jogging is going to be about nil.
IL also shut down their State Parks, even those downstate. That is just idiotic. At most, impose occupancy limits, put up signs at the entrances to advise social distancing, and send a few patrols through to give people reminders if need be.
The risk in Chicago may be greater.
There is a long path that winds around the lakefront. Also there are many public parks along the lakefront.
The paths (other side is sand) can be jammed on a weekend or a nice day. There would be no way to maintain a six foot distance if they were crowded.
Same goes for the parks.
