Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said that as businesses continue to close and people lose their jobs over the CCP virus lockdown, a family of four could receive $3,000 as well as unemployment insurance following the passage of a new stimulus package.
The Epoch Times refers to the novel coronavirus, which causes the disease COVID-19, as the CCP virus because the Chinese Communist Party’s coverup and mismanagement allowed the virus to spread throughout China and create a global pandemic.
Mnuchin is set to meet Sunday with House Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), House Minority Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy (D-Calif.), Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), to discuss a relief package that is worth $1 trillion.
“I think we have a fundamental understanding and we look forward to wrapping it up today,” Mnuchin told “Fox News Sunday,” adding that he expects the country to stay on lockdown for “a 10-to-12-week scenario.”
He said that one key component involves keeping small businesses afloat.
“You need to retain them. You’ll also get some overhead. And if you do that, those loans will be forgiven,” Mnuchin added. “That will allow small businesses to keep people, and make sure when we open up the economy, they’re up and running.”
In the interview, he said that up to $3,000 could be provided to families, via direct deposits, for a family of four. “Enhanced unemployment insurance” will also be provided for those who were laid off, he added.
Mnuchin told Fox that the next part involves “a significant package working with the federal reserve” that will allow “up to $4 trillion of liquidity that we can use to support the economy.”

Good thing I don’t believe a word the freaking govt officials tell us. I figured it would last until June and I’m budgeting accordingly. The hotel DH works at wasn’t taking reservations until May 1st so apparently they’re telling businesses something different than the rest of us.
Will it be taxable? That is the next question.

Okay, the average soccer mom is cooped up with 2.5 kids between the age of 7 and 15, 24/7 because there is no school. The wine in the box can only do so much. If it goes more than 4 weeks, the government will face a mutiny.

It’s going to be based on 2018 tax filing and if you filed you will get a check. It is based on incomes of course.

My life savings are 80 per cent gone, and this son of a bitch Munchkin says he is going to imprison me for 12 more weeks, plus I made too much money last year to be eligible for his damn $3000. Senators are trading on inside information to protect their nest eggs? Munchkin can go to hell.
