FEMA administrator: Shortage of health-care supplies a 'global problem'

Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Administrator Peter Gaynor is calling the shortage of health-care supplies “a global problem” as the coronavirus outbreak around the world increases demand.

ABC’s Martha Raddatz asked Gaynor on Sunday how medical workers became desperate for “critical supplies.”

“We’re going to try to meet every need in the nation,” he replied on “This Week.”

“But a word of caution, the supplies that governors are looking for are the same supplies that every other country in the world is looking for, so this is a global problem,” he added.

This should wake some people up...hopefully before more people die unnecessarily at the hands of incompetent Governors and Mayors who thumb their nose at the USC . The same one’s who protected, even encouraged, potentially virus and diseased ridden illegals to occupy our cities without question.

For US government, “national security” means spending trillions of dollars on foreign wars and “nation building” half a world away, instead of spending on medicine and health infrastructure to protect Americans here at home

FEMA probably has it all in a warehouse some place but forgot where.

Don’t worry FEMA will order a few loads of ice to melt.

Ok, let's stockpile for every conceivable emergency in the world.

We'll build a warehouse in Montana for this....all of Montana.

You can't plan to have enough stuff for each and every contingency. It just isn't possible.

Yesterday my husband and I delivered masks to a nurse at Ben Taub top ER hosp. in Houston who had been on a conf. call with docs/nurses giving advice from across the USA. They told her that they needed to personally do what she could ( on their own) to get masks. She had posted on a neighborhood chat forum. My friend let me know because we were scraping lead paint off boards for over a year on an old historic home remodel.
We had a very intense type mask made of plastic with side panels holding ovular shaped filters (told her to try and locate the refill filters for these as they may be off the track in terms of demand) the other 2 pack was P95. Not an expert on the robustness factor of these masks. She was extremely grateful!
