I did the same, and most people I talked with agree that this mass hysteria is overblown and media driven.
I know that for myself, I would typically try to buy TP once a week. News of this virus and quarantines suggested to me that it might be a good idea to have 2-3 weeks of TP on hand. I don’t in any way consider this a “panic”. I simply don’t want to be forced to go shopping while sick, or being advised that I should remain in quarantine for a couple of weeks.
Still, this is a 2-3 times increase, and I would not be surprised that if a large enough number of people did this, then different supply points could be temporarily depleted. I expect that this is the bulk of what has been happening, along with some small number of additional “panic” buyers.
As I said, I think the TP “panic” is harmless. If empty shelves bother you, though, think about the level of dependence you do have, and on who and what.
I hope that America is in time to shake off its dependence on China. China is a depraved and oppressive government, made more manifest every day.
They cover copays for testing but not for treatment.
Small amount of panic buying? Are you serious Clark? It is huge panic buying going on. The lieing media has driven people to full blown crazy.
