Once upon a time Jeff Sessions pretty much singlehandedly stopped Ted Kennedy's Amnesty bill dead in its tracks.

He's not that man any more. He wants to be redeemed by winning back his old seat after a terrible stint as AG.

He should have just gone away. But he just had to run again, and probably thought he'd have a clear path back.

But he's likely going to be defeated, and should be.

Sessions was asleep at the wheel as Attorney General.

The people of Alabama took notice.

He should recuse himself while there’s still time.

What nerve.

Whether he was weak or a louse (consensus seems to be weak) he shouldn’t be running for anything ever again.

In ancient times he’d have to drink poison.

I think they were allowed to have a party first though with good food and hot chicks :)

Kate Mckinnon is moping right now.

Her only hope is for Hillary to be Joe’s VP.

"...after a terrible stint as AG. "

He is the principle enabler of the Nation's last three years of enduring communist-controlled chaos...IMHO...

I preferred Byrne over Tuberville but will vote for Tuberville over Sessions.

Hopefully we're done with Roy Moore's show-boating.

Tuberville has surrounded himself with people who support higher immigration and made it clear to the business establishment he support bringing in more cheap labor. This isn’t good.

Sessions was the first elected official anywhere to endorse Trump.

Thank you sleepy, weak kneed Jeff, what a mess you created. I have no dog in this fight, but it does not look good from any perspective.

I once admired Jeff Sessions as one of the few GOP Senators that sided with the citizens and the rule of law.
He should have refused rather than recused when offered the AG job.
He should not be rewarded.

Flake, Corker, Hatch, Heller, Alexander, Graham, McCain, Murkowsky, Hoeven, Rubio all voted for the last amnesty attempt.

We MUST elect better Republicans.

Sessions wasted almost three years - three years that Trump could have been on the offense and accomplished much more to wreck the dems and their commie buddies.

Session’s behavior as AG was an embarrassment. It started with his expression of undying love for the DOJ bureaucracy, followed by his being completely played by Rosenstein and the bureaucrat’s Session’s expressed his undying love and devotion to and went downhill from there.
The fact that he’s getting anywhere near 40% support with these known facts shows that there are more than a few idiots within the republican electorate.

Either one of them beats Jones. No longer worried about blowing this race with a terrible nominee. Fresh blood is probably best, though, but Sessions was in there to prevent another Roy Moore debacle.

Sessions should gracefully bow out at this point...don’t know if he can though with a runoff...if he just withdraws, does the runoff get cancelled?
