I suspect by Summer, that virus will be lessening.
Warm weather often works in our favor with viruses.

L: CLD is nothing like what I expected. The Claypool tracks sound like Primus-y prog. The Lennon tracks sound like... music I would make if I had the means. I cleared my mind and this stuff fits into... my sweet zone. What would the Beatles sound like 50 years on...?

This was the first thing I stumbled across, a Panhandler Broadcasting System broadcast. And then there was this... remember that Sean was an attendee at Michael Jackson's ranch: Bubbles Burst this song is as haunting as anything from kC 2nd phase.

I LOVE that song.

However, the cover art on the front of that album is impressive, well done and has always scared the hell out of me. I’m speaking of that face with his mouth wide open in a scream. Teeth and tonsils visible.

When I bought the CD years ago, I used to store backwards, where I could not see that horrified face.
The games people play.

I’d encourage you to see Zweezil AND this band. I’ve seen both sets of musicians and Frank when he was alive. Zweezil and ZPZ or whatever they’re called are hot, tight, and just great. The Zappa Band is excellent in its own right (Keneally may be the best prog writer and guitarist and keyboardist all wrapped into one). Life is too short and Music is the Best.

I wish I could tell you some other song that would hit you the same way.

One of the ones that crushed my psyche is The Healing Colors Of Sound:

Part 1
Part 2
Part 3

I used to listen to KC years ago, and I don’t think they did any other song like that one. It was an anomaly, not the usual custom of this group. Sort of like the Stones doing Ruby Tuesday.

During that time, I also listened to Gentle Giant, another British group, that did mostly choral pieces wrapped around abstract concepts.
One of their pieces was “As the Years Fly”, or something like that.

Does the CD include the picture on the inside of the album? The album opened in the middle.

I don’t quite remember. I just knew I didn’t want to see it or think about it. Most real albums had liner notes and pages; as with Something/Anything by Todd Rundgren.
So it’s possible the painting was inside.
“Bootlegged” copies were common then, and that’s what I had.

Lee, I love Gentle Giant. Did you check any of the Spock's Beard I linked you earlier? It's clear that GG is one of their big influences with their vocal layering.

My favorite GG

I is a girl of the female persuasion and also, just so happens, was born in July and so...a Moonchild. But that is not why I love that song. I love it because it's just so pretty. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9x_e0tS3Fc

Actually it looks like nothing west of the Mississippi for either the Zappa Band or Dweezil is scheduled so far this year =(. I’ll keep my eyes open for both.
