Andy McCarthy rips Schumer for Supreme Court comments: 'A brazen threat' to agitate a mob
Fox News ^ | March5,2020 | Joshua Nelson

Posted on 03/05/2020 8:48:15 AM PST by Hojczyk

“The mob is out there and Schumer is agitating them and it works. That’s the reason they do it,” McCarthy told “America’s Newsroom," adding that the Supreme Court’s Roe V. Wade decision “crystallized [the court's] transformation into a political institution rather than a legal one."

McCarthy said that Schumer’s actions were “clearly a threat.”

“It’s not even up for dispute. It wasn’t even subtle, it’s quite brazen,” he said.

McCarthy also said that President Trump’s past critical remarks about Supreme Court Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Ruth Bader Ginsburg were not a “wise thing to do,” though there was no comparison to Schumer’s remarks.

“What you have even as the court is considering the case in question, you have a high-ranking United States senator, in a very brazen way, threatening to of the members of the court. I don’t think there’s any doubt about that, it’s an entirely different situation.”

When Chucky Schumer named the two Justices, then said "YOU won't know what hit YOU", how can the "YOU" be misinterpreted by ANYONE to mean that Chucky was targeting all Senate Republicans? But he is sticking to his BS story.

Here it is: “I want to tell you Neil Gorusch, and you Brett Kavanaugh, you have unleashed a whirlwind, and you will pay the price,” Schumer said. “You won’t know what hit you, if you go forward with these awful decisions.”

If that is Chucky's position, and he has now TRIPLED-DOWN on his position from the Senate floor, this can be nothing less than a verbal version on the Representative Steve Scalise shooting at the baseball field.

OK Mr. Andy PDJT was correct in his statement about recusing on all things Trump by Sotomayor, and Ginsberg after their bias was brazenly displayed.

Some people can’t get over the fact this President fights for his position, and uses the other side’s weapons right back at them.

It can be argued that Sen Schumer felt he was speaking to a friendly audience and in a moment of mindless exhurbence let it all hang out. He jost lost it

Enough.
What legal remedies are available? Because if legal action isn’t taken, it’s just a bunch of impotent whining.

Scmuck tried to justify his remarks by saying Justice Roberts did not say anything to Trump...Trump said two justices who made HIGHLY partisan remarks should RECUSE THEMSELVES, not that they would “reap the whirlwind”! POS SINator committed multiple felonies within a few seconds of his tirade...then tripled-down. The senator’s words went FAR beyond that of “poorly-worded” remarks.

It qualifies as a legal threat...

There are three elements of the offense of making an illegal threat:

(i) there must be a transmission in interstate commerce [Schumer’s words were transmitted by video, radio, blogs].
(ii) there must be a communication containing the threat [Schumer in front of crowd with a microphone and cameras].
(iii) and the threat must be a threat to injure the person of another:

“You have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price. You will not know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.” -Chuck Schumer 3/4/2020

What would “you would pay the price” can a sitting senator do to a sitting Supreme Court Justice? “You will not know what hit you” IS A THREAT and “if you go forward with these awful decisions” is obstruction of justice.

Threats can also sometimes be punished under the statutes criminalizing assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain United States Government officers or employees or assassinating, kidnapping, and assaulting government officials of the United States.

When a threat is made against a judge, it can be considered obstruction of justice [18 U.S.C. § 1503].

Schumer was just speaking in the well of the Senate. No apology. He made the excuse that he is from Brooklyn and “uses strong words”. Then he goes on talking about a woman’s right to murder unborn babies. That was the majority of his speech - killing babies.

You know there aren’t any consequences, especially for liberals but we can constantly use it to beat on Schumer and the Dems.

“He jost lost it”

Not a defense for a sitting US Senator, Minority Leader.

… AND NOTHING will happen.

There are two forms of justice in the U.S. one for democrat politicians and one for everyone else.

Well, it can be argued that a bunny came into the house, took the tooth from underneath the pillow and replaced it with money.

EVERYTHING that Schumer does is CALCULATED. IMHO, Schumer was hoping to put into the minds of some of his more deranged followers the belief that FATAL VIOLENCE is justified,

“BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY”

I know there are no consequences for Dems, but it infuriates me. Beat on them? How so? Oh, you mean get annoyed amongst ourselves? Because the media will cheer on Schumer, and this kind of garbage will elevate Schumer with the leftist base.

Really, just do something or shut up is what I say to the GOP.

Is there some New York thing that makes old Jews talk like prissy old women? Schumer and Bloomberg both sound like that.

He can try to dial back his rhetoric, but he made a threat if they do not comply. What “political consequences” would a sitting senator have on sitting supreme court? No, he was spurring his mob to action since he is too much of a coward to do anything on his own.

Words have CONSEQUENCES, Chuck! RESIGN or face felony charges.

Like president Trump mentioned on Hannity last night. Chuckie was not standing at the well in the senate chamber so he should not be given some kind of immunity for what he said.

Well, since Upchuck Schumer and virtually all Democrats are beyond shaming for their words and actions, that still does not put them beyond the censure of their peers. And there is always that old reliable, the ballot box, though it might not mean much in New York State, a region in thrall to the mindset of the counterculture that does not believe in America as either a country or a state of mind.

Reclaiming that great wilderness that has grown up around these bastions of liberalism may look like a daunting task, but it is one that must be returned to often and with great vigor.

He wasn't dialing back his rhetoric. Which is worse, making a threat to a justice or advocating murdering babies? In my book, killing babies is worse and for that alone this needs to be made a long lasting issue. Schumer needs to be very uncomfortable until he takes a commentator job on PMSNBC.
