Ivanka Trump has officially become a registered Republican for the first time after years of voting Democrat and supporting liberal causes.
'I am a proud Trump Republican,' Ivanka declared in a New York Times interview on Monday, revealing that she had registered red so she can vote for her father Donald Trump in the New York state primary next month.
Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner, both senior White House advisers, were registered Democrats for years, known to donate to liberal candidates and causes.
She's been seen as a more moderate member of Team Trump, having been outspoken about her progressive views on issues such as gay rights, gun control and climate change.

Nothing else does or will matter for a long time until those three issues are secured for a generation. So if Ivanka or anyone other Trumper holds a different view on transgender bathrooms, decriminalizing marijuana, or any other side issues like that, then I really don’t care at this time.

I don’t want to sound like a soft touch here, but people can and do change.
I can think of a dozen issues on which I’ve changed my views since my adult life began around the time Reagan took office.
Some of these changes are directly attributable to DJT’s leadership. I am much less of a free market purist than I was a decade ago, even while I continue to admire the Austrian school economists like Friedrich von Hayek.
If all nations were committed to free trade, the world would be more prosperous and peaceful. But when you’re dealing with the Chicoms, you’re going to get, at best, mere lip service to sound economic principles, even while they cheat on every deal.
Likewise, I realized relatively late in life that I’m much more in tune with confessional Lutheranism (Missouri Synod) than the Roman Catholic faith in which I was raised. I hardly fit the image the embittered lapsed Catholic — and I’ve definitely known a few — but I do believe Luther cleared away a lot of dogma that’s grounded more in church tradition than in scripture.
Anyway, that’s a long way of saying ... please give Ivanka a break, if only out of respect for DJT.

I see Ivanka as maturing into a more conservative voice for families. She’s developing. Argue away but that’s how i see it.
Yes, she’s been a typical NY liberal on issues but I can see her evolving in a good way, moving to the Giuliani square on social issues.
Ivanka is very, perhaps VERY important towards quelling and attracting the suburban women’s vote.
Ivanka sees her beloved father with unyielding conservative values and principles. She sees how Americans are absolutely galvanized by his leadership.
Israel absolutely adores our President and Ivanka is close to the Israeli people through her husband’s close association with Israel. She sees the value of conservative philosophy resurging worldwide.
Ivanka is changing in a good way.

I'm glad she is supporting our President, but her leanings on "some" issues put her judgment into question. Same with her husband.
We can't afford to have anyone pandering to the communists. They need to be defeated on every issue.
