Three people worked together to rescue a truck driver after a massive cargo explosion in Indianapolis on Thursday and one of them had just given birth.
We see a plume of smoke, huge smoke, it looked like a warehouse was on fire, Holly McNally told Fox 59. I slowed down, and I saw the actual semi on fire, and I look to the front of the semi and I see a man on fire, McNally said. But while most people at the scene were content to record the agonizing death of an immolated stranger, McNally refused to join the rubber-necking.
Im scanning, and people are video taping and watching, but no one was going over there. So I told my mom Im stopping, Im going over there.' As another stranger tried to put Jeffrey Duke Denman out, McNally joined in. The danger, however, was far from over. We got him out, and we start to walk away, and I see this huge stream of liquid, and I could smell it, McNally said. I said Jeff what were you hauling? And he said, jet fuel.'
Time was running out, and every passing moment brought Denmans would-be rescuers and their charge ever closer to being swallowed by the inevitable blast. Were trying to carry him down and its getting closer and closer and the second explosion went off, McNally said. Smoke was hitting us and I was just praying like God, please let us get out of here so I can see my baby.

Thanks for sharing. Like the heorine said, “What if we all did that?” just jumped in and helped, instead of pulling out our phones and recording it?
Wow! Im so sick of people just standing around videoing horrible accidents and disasters and doing NOTHING to help. God bless this woman and the man who helped her.
A 59 year old woman just gave birth?
Never mind. My eye caught the 59 & I thought it was the woman’s age. It was Fox 59. Sheesh!

Yes. She was going home. She had to leave baby in hospital. She and man with her stopped to help.
Honestly, speed reading through that, I thought the same for a second..that she was 59 but then I slowed down and re-read.
thanks for the uplifting post
I motion to make her our first real Navy SEAL. That’s going to be some boy!
A trucker and his/her baby were stuck in “burning wreckage” for three days?
Yeah, I know. Sounds kinda like a Seinfeld... Oh, wait.. d;^)
The headline is misleading. The driver got out of the truck by himself and was running down the road on fire according to local media reports.
That is utterly shameful and completely disgusting.
In addition to the news channel being 59, the man she helped to save was age 59. What were the odds?
This woman is a hero in every way.
It just sickens me that people are so callous that they will film someone burning to death rather than trying to help.
It’s enough to make me hope someone returns them the favor when they need help.
Ah, but the heroic Holly McNally. Why did the phrase “image and likeness of God” pop into my mind?
Great story. Stupid headline. Just awful writing. Journalism is dead. Blessings on the young mother. I hope the truck driver is ok. (No word on that.)
