This is an awesome interview with Snerdley, from October 2019. I only clicked the link to put a face with a name I have heard for years and I ended up watching the whole video... I always liked him because of his role as the Official Obama Criticizer, but this gives a whole new perspective on James Golden, the man, makes me wonder why Rush never just has him fill in for him??
A long time ago, James used to have his own show, locally on WABC.
He was very good.
Dave Brat’s victory over the weasel Eric Cantor in June of 2014, the day before the Uniparty was going to jam Rubio’s Gang of Amnesty bill down America’s throat, gave us the breathing room to elect Trump.
If amnesty had passed, we would have been past the point of no return.
Best Congressman I have ever been represented by, was the best Congressman in America and that was why he was targeted for defeat by BOTH parties and the CIA.
He disrupted the Bush Plan for North Mexico (aka USA), the largest bipartisan project of the last 30 years.
Rush can recognize a pro.
I guess we can agree to disagree. James’ show was dull and boring.
There is a reason it was canceled. It was terminated because he was not good.
He’s a good man and, has a good perspective on life but, his show was not good.
Rush brought him back permanently because Rush loves the guy and respected his desire to attempt to strike out on his own. James himself acknowledged that commanding an audience on the radio seemed much easier said than done.

Snerdley sometimes appeared on Rush’s TV show. Right after Clinton’s first inauguration he read a poem he’d written about Rush (as a comedic counter to Maya Angelou’s poem for Clinton). Pretty funny guy.
I watched a little of it, and I admit it looks like a worthwhile watch. So I will when I have more time. Thanks for posting. 8>)

I agree. James is a good guy, but on the air, he seems many skill levels below Rush. There is just no comparison.
His diction is poor, homespun and not very worldly.
I like him, but anybody being compared to Rush is going to find it tough. James sounded quite the amateur when I last heard him. I knew then why he was rarely live on the air.
Let him keep proving support for Rush.
Yes, James Golden has been Snerdley about 20 years but the name Snerdley has ties to Rush even back into the 1970's in his local radio days. Rush spoke of the Snerdley tradition once many years ago I recall.
I also pulled this from the Wiki so take it for what its worth but it sounds accurate. Rush's WIXZ job would be from the early 1970's so Snerdley may have been a made-up name even from as far back as his childhood?
Snerdley is a pseudonym Limbaugh invented many years earlier when he was a disc jockey on WIXZ (when Limbaugh went by the name Jeff Christy); he would use the name Snerdley for supposed-listeners who would write or call in, usually professing to be big fans and part of the "Christy Nation". More recently, the name Snerdley has been used for his call screeners, both male and female.
