The moment I finished posting this the news on the McCabe "pass" by the DOJ broke, so the timing of this article is pretty poor.
I'm a skeptic by nature, but also an optimist. Those two personality traits are battling each other as I watch what is going on. At times I think "nothings ever going to happen" and at times I think "this has gotta end up with the good guys winning eventually, doesn't it?"
Trump is only 1 man and we are just 63M voters with no in into the in crowd. I think Trump can keep the over throw from happening for a few more years but after he’s gone who knows. But 1 thing for sure we are witnesses to either the resurrection or the collapse of America.
They dropped any further charges against McCabe based on the weak IG report. It looks like the big guns are still being loaded for the coup stuff. I want to see the following come to two logical conclusions: “First we F-— Flynn, then we F-— Trump” which was attributed to McCabe.
Who sent Mifsud to Papadopoulus?
Who sent Downer to Papadopoulus?
Who supplied Tawil with $10k in cash to give to Papadopoulus?
Who informed the FBI so that they could meet Papadopoulus' plane?
These were all overt acts in furtherance of a conspiracy to unseat an elected President. You can argue a lot about whether some analyst thought that the Russians were helping Trump. None of that matters when we consider what happened to George Papadopoulus.

A narrow reading of the letter sent to McCabe seems appropriate. Their might be a lot of reasons for it, and we can't say for sure if he's dodged every bullet quite yet, or if he's just been spared this one.
The DC US Attorney's office has had a long hard week. They had the four resignations, and the former head of the office, Jessie Liu, had her (kinda) promotion yanked, as a result. And then today she resigned completely.
It's hard to sort out. I know a lot of Freepers view her as a Deep State sympathizer, but I'm not convinced that's correct. At one point I remember reading that she had continued to argue FOR the prosecution of McCabe, and that Barr opposed it.
As others have said Barr is an "institutionalist" and might not want to see McCabe (a former acting Director) prosecuted just to avoid the black-mark on the Department.
Perhaps it's just a coincidence that the day that Jessie Liu leaves the department the lingering McCabe referral is closed out.

The infection has become systemic. What needs to be treated is the deception that planted this germ into the body of the nation. There will be no resolution of the malaise until the fake identity of zero is exposed.
True I do not know the near future. Maybe he will be prosecuted.
