Guy Benson: Pelosi silently panicking over possibility of Bernie Sanders winning Dem nomination
Fox News ^ | 2/13/20 | Yael Halon

Establishment Democrats are panicking about the rise of democratic socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and the slide of former Vice President Joe Biden in the 2020 race, Fox News contributor Guy Benson said Thursday.

Earlier in the day, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., was asked to weigh in on the state of the party following Sanders' New Hampshire primary victory and insisted that party leaders are "calm, cool and collected," adding that when members disagree about the best candidates, "that’s politics. It’s a messy business.”

"Calm, cool and collected so much so that she is ripping up pages of the State of the Union address?" Benson asked Thursday on "The Story"

"Look, I think that if she had her way, she would absolutely want to help nudge voters away from Bernie Sanders," he added.

**SNIP**

"I think Pelosi is looking at this situation and saying, 'Maybe it’s not useful for me to weigh in on this,"' Benson told substitute host Ed Henry. "'Let people decide what they’re going to do. Don’t put my thumb on the scale' ... but some of her members, some of those moderate members who are majority makers, they are blabbing to reporters all over this town saying, 'We cannot have Bernie at the top of the ticket or I am totally cooked.'"

“Rs should slam EVERY opponent on the question of whether they support a communist.”

They should. But they won’t. That’s why we are known as The Stupid Party.

If I were a Democrat in the House it would be time for a “sauve qui peut “. Save yourself and to heck with the rest.

I see Bloomberg as a bigger threat than Burnout. He has enough money to steal the election. I would prefer for Burnout to be the nominee.

Pelosi lied on the forms submitted for the half breed’s eligibility. Nothing precludes her from getting rules changed to allow only registered Democrats to be eligible for the nomination.

National Socialists: Nazis.

Socialists: Nazis who don’t see themselves as Nazis, but want to shout their beliefs from the top of a building.

Democratic Socialists: Nazis who think like Nazis and who know they are Nazis, but want everyone else to think they are a collection of Franklin D. Roosevelts.

Okay, I made all that up. But it sounds plausible.

The Democrats are learning all over again the meaning of “slippery slope”.

For years, the Democrats have embraced the dogma of the left, and stood in admiration about the “efficient” way that the declared objectives of Marxist thought seemed to offer leading to the assumption of power.

But power is a two-edged sword. If the progressives cannot make the system work (and human nature has too much of a greedy aspect to passively accept total socialism), then the “enforcers” must be called. It is only a short step then for a paramilitary force to be brought in, and the harsh enforcement, up to and including imprisonment and mass executions of the “resistant” factions impervious to efforts at “re-education”, becomes the national policy. Initiative and a system of personal rewards for innovation and positive contribution to the betterment of mankind are abolished, ground to dust in the stifling and circumscribed range of human thought. Cuba, North Korea, and Venezuela show the end results of this policy, and humanity is once again yoked to worship of the strong man, or death and slavery as the only alternatives.

Command-and-control societies may be “efficient”, but they are also total dead ends.

Heh, on yours, I would change the last:

A “Socialist” is a sheep who thinks it is a wolf who doesn’t want others to think it is a wolf, who debates the fine art of eating the sheep with other sheep who think they are wolves—and when it gets to be dinner time they are all eaten by the National Socialists and the Democratic Socialists.

After that, the Democratic Socialists who are sheep who really believe they are wolves and want everyone to think they are wolves while presenting the illusion that they are not wolves, are eaten by the National Socialists.

“...Bernie Bro Sanders, I AIN’T BUYING. He is not fundamentally different from the other ...Boys they are putting up there.“

Yes he is. Same as when Clinton pushed him out. These people want us to pretend they’re ideologues. They are not. They are power mad power brokers.

I have much, much more faith in Donk corruption. The Donk party bosses will not allow Bernie to win the nomination unless they've realized they can't beat Trump, have already thrown in the towel and are planning on using Bernie as a sacrificial lamb.

‘Operation chaos’ is a bad idea.

In particular, faking support for Bernie Sanders is a bad idea. He might just win on a first ballot if things look too good for him. And he has a solid lock on the Millennial vote. They want Socialism and they will turn out for him.

Far better for us if the other candidates gang up on Sanders and force a brokered convention where Sanders is not the final winner. That will split the party of at least 25% of their voting base no matter who else wins.
