OMG!

So Little Johnny has Daddy sign it and now Little Johnny is no longer scared of guns?

If Little Johnny is getting buggered every night, does the handbook cover that?

Good. You’ll have no problem signing a form the school requesting your sexual history, perversions, fetishes and gender preference either.

Send it home and I’ll read it. You’ll be the exception!

But no schoolmarm is gonna force me to sign for it. I doubt they will even try.

Sometimes teachers are required to keep track of who has returned forms and are under pressure to make sure stuff is returned. Permission slips for field trips and the like—permission not returned, kid doesn’t go on the field trip.

I would assume you’d be ok with signing your kids’ report cards. Believe it or not, I’ve known some kids who didn’t show their parents their report card.

I will say if you have guns and kids, you should have them stored safely. I have many guns and my kids are out of the house, so I keep one in the kitchen, one in the bedroom, etc. They are loaded. Watch a home invasion video and how fast they happen to understand why.

However, when I had kids in the house, or if I have kids visit, those guns are locked up. Kids do stupid shit, adults need to anticipate it.

But why do we oppose providing safe gun handling information?

It might just be the crackpot voice from which it emanates and we know the rest of the agenda so we would not be wise foxes to give credence to their forked tongue pleadings for something they present as good while they prepare the real agenda behind their backs and ours.

Trust must be earned and Progressives and/or those who place little value on the on the 2nd amendment or the first, don’t deserve our bended knee of respect, UNTIL EARNED.

So everytime Bloomberg’s moms wanting some action desire something, the school has to appease them? BS. Thinkk the school would appease the NRA if they wanted Eddie Eagle flyers handed to the kids? “”Stop! Don’t touch! Leave the area! Tell an adult!”

Think they would give a reasonable response to NRA desires?
They would courageously tell us no, so the same for the horny moms.

You are comparing a report card and whether or not daddy has secured guns in the home.

Fail

If you read up further in my posts, you will see I dont agree with signing anything. And without the actual form, I’m not sure if thats what is being asked, other than maybe acknowledging receipt, which is very common, but also probably not enforceable (the signature).

I actually tried to download the student handbook from linked in the article, but for some reason it did not come through. So not much more I can say, except, yes I would be vigil for infringements of 2nd amendment, but that I wont knee jerk respond to every article that may not accurately capture the facts and intent of the situation.

A drill should be mentioned as well a nail-gun.

Maybe a hammer.

How about electric outlets being covered as well?

Its all about safety.

A report card is the business they ARE in. Of course I’d sign that. As for teachers having to keep track and feel pressure to get it done? That’s her problem, not mine.

But if a teacher won’t let my kid go on a field trip because I won’t sign a gun form or a student handbook, that’s on them...not me. Schools are creeping into the homelife and parenting business. I saw yesterday where a kid shared a racist joke on instagram, at home in their room, at night, on their own phone. NO school connection at all. But the Stasi school prowling the kids online found it and suspended the two kids for a few days.

They have you sign for one reason only. It creates a contract.

I know exactly what the intent is. It came from a Bloomberg group, and was pushed by a lifelong anti-gun democrat.

In my experience, the only time a parent actually reads the student handbook is when their kid gets punished for something or wants some other kid punished.)

All the more reason to NEVER sign anything from the school and especially the handbook.

Some conservatives really need to present their case in a more adult manner, unlike the lib counterparts.

School boards should be responsive to parents, and if “mom’s” is making the most noise, then they are going to get some attention from the board. Its up to other parents who might disagree to make counter arguments. Again, I cant tell from the article that what the school board did is a bad thing, given their districts concerns. I dont know if the students are are all from nuclear families, or more likely, half from broken homes and no fathers or crack mothers.

Without looking at the student handbook, I dont know that it does not mirror NRA rules. Usually, these folks have to find some “authority” to model from (again for liability) so maybe they did use NRA. I dont know.
