Second prosecutor quits Roger Stone case after sentencing reversal
The Hill ^ | 2-11-2020 | Bob Brigham

A second Department of Justice (DOJ) prosecutor who recommended Roger Stone be sentenced to seven to nine years in prison left the case Tuesday after reports that officials would seek to reduce the sentencing request.

In a one-sentence filing to the court, lawyer Jonathan Kravis announced his resignation as an assistant U.S. attorney and therefore no longer represents the government in the case. Kravis's announcement came shortly after a similar withdrawal by prosecutor Aaron Zelinsky.

Both attorneys were involved in providing the initial sentencing guidance, which was sharply criticized by President Trump, raising questions about potential political interference in the sentencing of Stone. Stone was found guilty of lying to Congress and witness tampering.

This is devastating news... We all know how much the Democrats have relied on corrupt DOJ Prosecutors to their bidding for them.

Why are these prosecutors obsessed with making sure this man dies in prison for what are effectively process crimes based on a hoax investigation?

Adios Jonathan Kravis!

Good luck, Jonathan, finding another job to get paid for sending innocent Trump supporters to jail.

Maybe Comey or some of his thugs can help you find a job.

He never should have been tried in the first place, especially by a jury drawn from a pool that’s overwhelmingly biased against Republicans. Trump haters don’t care about evidence.

These asshats were praying that impeachment would be on their side. Now they are running for cover. They should be the ones in prison.

Pretty much.
Kravis clerked for Judge Merrick Garland and for Justice Stephen Breyer. Worked for Mueller’s hit squad.
Aaron Zelinsky clerked for Justices John Paul Stevens (Ret.) and Anthony Kennedy. Worked for Rosenstein and Mueller’s hit squad.

Good riddance.

That both of these guys appear (from their names) to be Jewish by birth (or at least by heritage), is of great shame to me. I am sick and tired of being associated with all of these Left wing scumbags, just because of some remote common ancestor(s). These people disgust me - they are wasting their intelligence serving an evil ideology.

I think the most important question is what is the typical sentence for a “ process crime”? As a non-attorney type 7 years seems to be a lot. Hell, there are people that commit violent crimes that get less than that....

Kravis literally was one of Obama’s White House lawyers. That
he is/was prosecuting Stone is totally insane. It seems The Resistance (TM) has/had near total control of the “Trump” DOJ.
