Because, yes, the news media always resorts to ad hominimem attacks when someone speaks out.
Like questioning Obama = racism.

I recently read an article written in 1965 that included the following passage: “In an age when patterns of thought were determined by systems of value and belief other than those derived from the Bible and Christian tradition, Christians were, relatively speaking, a shrinking minority in a world that was becoming increasingly indifferent to the pretensions of organized religion.”
Our society at large has benefited from its religious influences and origins. People controlled themselves, not because there was a law passed by the government, but because there was a common moral code that people tried (successfully most of the time) not only to behave accordingly, but also to hold their elected officials (who also ascribed to said code) accountable. The “underclasses” and average person is where religious faith was the bedrock. There are a multitude of reasons for its waning; hence it is no surprise that we are witnessing the undermining of our institutions because the principles of self-government have quietly been shifting to some other value system, accepted or acquiesced by the average person. Hope is not lost for restoration, but it will not be an easy road.
Been off politics since Friday morning so the firing of Vindman was news to me. Holy crap! What a great POTUS! A fighter. I’m still not clear what Vindman’s role was? He wasn’t in the military any longer so was he fired from an advisory position in the White House? “Escorted out saying we no longer require your services.” LOL. Love it!
He can only fire appointed government workers without cause. I believe the rest are protected by Civil Service regulations unless fired for cause and even then they have rights.
Zelinsky ran on an anti-corruption campaign. So there is a good chance that many of the previous ambassadors were part of the previous administrations corruption. The level of corruption in US government is much less.
