Democratic presidential hopeful Pete Buttigieg maintained his slim lead in the Iowa caucuses after the second round of results from the Monday night contest was released.
The results, which accounted for roughly 71 percent of the precincts that voted, showed the former South Bend, Ind., mayor with 26.8 percent of the delegate share. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) nipped at his heels with 25.2 percent.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and former Vice President Joe Biden rounded out the top four with 18.4 percent and 15.4 percent, respectively.
The Iowa Democratic Party earlier Tuesday released results for 62 percent of precincts, showing Buttigieg and Sanders in the lead. With the substantial number of precincts left to count and the margin so slim, the race remains too close to call.
Despite no official winner being declared, Buttigieg has already declared himself the victor as he works to gin up support heading into the New Hampshire primary next week.
So we dont know all the numbers, but we know this much: a campaign that started a year ago with four staff members, no name recognition, no money, just a big idea, a campaign that some said should have no business even making this attempt, has taken its place at the front of this race to replace the current president with a better vision for the future, he said at a campaign stop Tuesday.

They already counted the votes and tried to send them using the app.
Why do they have to be recounted? Was the original count not right? Were they sending the wrong numbers from the first count?
If they counted correctly the first time, all they had to do is call in the original count or hand deliver the numbers to headquarters.
My theory is they tried to use the app to manipulate the numbers but it didn't work as planned.
Now they have to make this recount match the numbers that were reported on the app.
Buttplug isn’t going to like the results after SC votes.
If @PeteButtigieg actually wins after 100% of results is reported, then credit it to him. But this is a way bigger mess if @BernieSanders wins at the end but Iowa Democratic Party let Buttigieg take two victory laps. #IowaCaucus— Cenk Uygur (@cenkuygur) February 4, 2020
Why?
Does voting to kill babies and support transgender “rights” differ from state to state?
Neither will Bernie.
They’re only really competitive in the first two states because they’re over 90% white.
The Democratic primary electorate in South Carolina is half black. Bye-bye, Bernie and Pete.
Blacks are a significant percentage of Rat voters in SC. And they don't like him. He's going to do very poorly with the black vote.
If Bernie ends up winning when all the votes are in, his supporters are going to be looking for blood.
Dnc blood.
Anybody but Bernie is the message.
I've seen 3-4 ACTUAL VIDEOS from the democrats where Bernie beats the cr@p out of everyone else - but they allocate the delegates to his opponents.
“...You have got to be kidding me.....”
Nope. They had to rig it to keep old Pedo Joe in the top four in order to keep him from bailing and likely being indicted. IF that means knocking Bernie down a peg or two allowing the ButPlug to take the lead just to keep old t PedoJoe in the top 3, so be it.
This rigging is nothing for the communists...just wait till the general election...it will be unbelievable. How anyone could vote to have these corrupt SOBs rule over us and our healthcare as tyrants is totally insane.
Is Iowa the only state that does this sh!t?
Iowa's power is entirely in it's PR generation as being first ... it's actually delegate count is poultry and insignificant. So they don't have to cheat Bernie out of the eventual win, or even tamper with any votes, to essentially make him lose by denying him the PR spoils of winning.
It's the usual democrat confluence of plausibly deniable coincidences and so called glitches (new name!: 'coding problem) that just happen to all benefit one agenda in one direction.
with 29% of the vote outstanding the guy with less than 27% thinks he won.
I saw some city or state wanting to hold general election where you rank your candidate choices 1st pick 2nd pick etc.
And you can bet his faction is watching them too, getting more incensed with each replay.
I think that they will run their own candidate and it will be someone like Tulsi Gabbard. The Democrats have to choose between letting Bernie Sanders run, and using the opportunity to permanently destroy his faction or stealing his nomination and trying to keep the House of Representatives.
Looks like they are going to try to save the House at the cost of a permanent split from the farthest left faction.
Let me be the first to suggest in honor of one of the finest Americans alive today, Rush Limbaugh, the launch of operation Chaos Part 2. Everyone in a state with an open primary, vote in the D primary for Bearnie. They’ll go nuts just like Nancy tonight!
Looks like they are going to try to save the House at the cost of a permanent split from the farthest left faction.

I’ve also started to think that.
Lovin’ that autocorrect bok bok.
Rather similar to teachers helping students cheat on tests.
