Deadly downtown Seattle shooting suspects caught in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS — After a little over one week on the run, two Seattle deadly shooting suspects were caught in Las Vegas.

Twenty-four year olds William Toliver and Marquise Latrelle Tolbert were booked into jail in Clark County, Nevada Saturday, according to Lt. Ken Nogle, Days Watch Commander with Las Vegas Metro Police.

They were arrested near the 3700 block of West Flamingo Blvd in Las Vegas. The details as to what led up to their arrest has not been made clear yet.

The two men are suspects in the shootout that left one woman dead and injured seven other victims amid a trail of blood and bullets on January 22, Seattle police say.

Authorities arrested 21-year-old Jamel Linonell Jackson last Thursday. He has been charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and was one of the alleged shooters who was also hurt during the incident.

He was initially taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment before being booked into King County Jail.

Fifty-year-old Tanya Jackson was killed in the shooting shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday near the McDonald's at 3rd Avenue and Pine Street. Seven others were hurt, including a 9-year-old boy, who was released from the hospital last week. All other victims have been discharged from the hospital, except a women who is in serious condition in the ICU.

.

Witnesses said they heard gunfire and then saw two men running down into the transit tunnel. Police and medics arrived at the scene within 15 seconds but the two at-large suspects got away, Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan said.

"It is time to face the music," said Sheila Coleman, the mother of one of the fugitives in an exclusive KOMO interview last week. "It is time to face the music."

I’m in a state of shock,” Coleman went on to say. “I couldn’t believe it was my son that was on the news, but I just want to say to William as well as Marquise that the best thing to do right now you guys is to turn yourselves in.

I don’t want any harm to come to either one of you. I don’t know what happened but you need to turn yourselves in so they can get this thing all sorted out. It will be better for the both of you.

Coleman said she fears that the consequences will be worse for her son Toliver.

Toliver has 44 arrests, one felony conviction and 18 gross misdemeanor convictions, records show. Tolbert has 21 arrests, three felony convictions and 12 gross misdemeanor convictions, according to public records.

The shooting was one of several violent crimes in part of the city long known for drug use. Business groups want officials to improve public safety.

Why do all the low-life’s run to LV?
Seems some more out of state trash is picked up there every week.

I’m in NV and I can tell you they are NOT welcome here.
LV does have a hoodlum element but if they are not from the area I doubt the local hoods will do much for them as they are protective of “Their” turf.
Even OJ found out that it is not a good idea to mess with LV LE.

[44 arrests ... 21 arrests]

I'm starting to think there's a pattern here...if only the multiple arrests gave us some clue as to whether these are career criminals. Get Lt. Columbo on the line!

Curious. Seattle won’t cooperate with the Feds when it comes to illegal alien felons. But doesn’t mind using federal marshals to track down these thugs for them

Well, gee whiz, the judge should go easy on them. Sounds like they've had a tough time of it.

It used to be that certain “gentlemen” who ran Vegas wouldn’t put up with people like this that came to Vegas.

What constitutes a gross misdemeanor ? I assume it’s more serious than eating bugers in public.

I lay this breakdown in law enforcement at the feet of King County Prosecutor Dan Satterberg. He has allowed 100 criminals to commit 3,500 of the crimes here. His problem is he has been unable to get the necessary resources to deal with the increased criminal activity. Seattle is attracting the worst drug derelicts from around the country because it is the easiest place to be a drug addict. The liberal Seattle City Council must find a way to reprioritize its funds to crack down on drug use.

““I couldn’t believe it was my son that was on the news, “

Yeah, he only had 44 arrests, what could ever make you think that was your son.

She should be arrested.

Tolbert...a French name, perhaps originally from Morocco/North Africa?

‘Face reminds me of 9/11 terrorist-bombers.

Out on bail under the new “if they didn’t steal anything over $900” they don’t have to put up cash bond because it discriminates against poor black criminals and murderers?

Washington State has it. New York has it (just cut loose 6 drug gang members, no bond, nothing and they are smirky about it).

#14. The Seattle City Council is NOT “liberal”. Like the City Council of New York City, IT IS MARXIST, PURE AND SIMPLE. One of their leading voices is an avowed “socialist” psychopath, i.e. hardcore Marxist. The city’s mayor have been assorted Marxists as has the past few governors (or just completely ignorant SOB incompetents with a red tinge to aid in their stupidity).

Let’s call them what they are, “Good little comrades” and “Black racist thugs”.
