I have a feeling we’ll keep hearing very low death counts from China and won’t realize how bad this thing is until it starts hitting other countries in earnest.
Hard to tell, actually. It seems to have about a 2 week incubation period. This seems to be born out by the Japanese tour bus driver who had Chinese on his bus about that long ago.
I hope you are right. The upside to a highly evolving virus is that it is just as likely it will mutate into a harmless strain and then die out.

Another suggestion. Leave the masks. Masks are difficult to use effectively for longer than a few minutes and can even be detrimental. If you must use masks, keep your hands off of them and change them very often.
Get some exam gloves. Those will help. You know the rest: washing hands with soap and lukewarm water for at least 20 seconds, staying at least 2 meters from other people, etc.
Well, I tend to agree. At that point the leaders of China should be dealt with. Misleading the world on a pandemic is tantamount to a crime against humanity.
I worked on the front lines in the medical field when aids and hep c were discovered, ebola and tb were making headlines..As did millions of American healthcare workers.
China is having a bad case of karma. Or God has had enough of their cruelty. Time to reboot.

I truly believe in Karma and think China is getting theirs right now.
Don’t even get me started on how they skin or boil alive animals because they think the adrenaline makes the meat taste better.
I wish I never saw the video of 100 dogs strung up by their hind legs being skinned alive and the sounds they made.
“white winter smog” pollution is one problem, eating infected rats, bats, dogs, cats, monkeys, etc. This is the problem and will continue to be the problem. I shop at a store that sells alot of products from china, and I will not buy anything that I or my dogs will be eating. Check the labels and if the product comes from china put it back on the shelf.
I remember those days too, them all blaming everything on Reagan, not their own chosen behavior, even after they knew better.
China is having a tough go of it now.
I wouldn’t be surprised if nobody comes out of this downside free, including their leadership.
