Yes, I know. That sucker gets wild too.

All the buildup of civilization in that area is disconcerting too.

Some people may not realize that fault goes from North Eastern Arkansas up towards Boston. Church bells in Boston rang the last time it went off.

I believe liquefaction can be an issue is some ares of that region.

Besides the fact that the New Madrid quakes can be quite large and can be felt very far away, consider, older St. Louis is built out of brick. If a big one hits here, there will be a lot of damage.
