The Democrats thought they had Trump at a disadvantage by having him start his defense on a Saturday, when nobody was paying attention and doing weekend stuff.
But Trump outsmarted them - as he always does.

I think you are wrong about Bolton. He re-ignited the witness thing by shooting his mouth off a few days before the “trial”. He knew it would so I believe he is up to no good.
Relieved? The slugs of RINOs needed Trump to get the off the hook so they didn't have to do their own job and take up the cudgel early on. The RINOs should have been holding public hearings in the judiciary committee and calling witnesses under oath, such as Shiffty and the Bidens.
Cowards cheering on the guy who had to take on the bullies because they were too pusillanimous even to take on Schiff.
Because God forbid they should do anything themselves, without having their hands held.

While it would be satisfying on many levels to see s’hitt, the w’blower and others as witnesses, it is what the rats want. Sara Carter suggested that the reason the rats brought up the bidins was to sucker the GOP, to call them as witnesses.
The only reason the rats want witnesses is to continue the trial for weeks, if not months. Then the media can cover impeachment well into the election cycle. This does not help Trump or down ballot GOP.
I hope they acquit on Fri so that Lindsay can do his job for once.

Amen. And that job is to start a separate Senate Judiciary Committee investigation into Biden in the Ukraine, including a full cast of witnesses. The ‘rats want to get the Roadrunner down with an Acme rocket. It backfires on them every time now for over three years. So what makes you think they’re so clever as all that. Call them.
Keep the hearings secret until after the elections so as not to have it influence the elections, but give Biden due process. Let him cross-examine and confront. If Lindsey can’t do his job, have Barr do his in front of a grand jury, where Biden does not have the right to confront and cross-examine, or even appear. After the election, when he loses, indict him, or in the alternative, throw the findings of the judiciary committee open to the public.

I believe he is setting a trap for the Dems. He and Trump parted as friends due to a principled disagreement. Bolton likes to start wars. Trump does not. But I think Bolton is much pleased that Cutsome Salami is no more, and several other big terrorists. Not quite as good as a full war, but not the same as docile acquiescence to terrorism, either. And so long as he captures or kills someone every now and then, Bolton is happy with Trump.

Well you might be right but you might not. The stakes are too high to roll the dice. Bolton stirred this up after Trump sent Salami to his virgins and I read in a few places that he trash talked Trump since his firing so l don’t think it’s worth the gamble.

I was thinking something like that when he was on Judge Jeanine. Then he said ALL the info is out there, and is being covered in depth by OANN. And I THINK he said he has a podcast about it, too. It does sound like random “dangling” when there are only four or five minutes to discuss it. It almost seems like someone is trying to cover up the info.
Who knows? There is just so much going on it’s hard to keep up and hard to make all the connections.
Hope they use the full 24 hours just so the smarmy Dems can squirm longer.

Actually, a lot of what the defense presented was video clips of the House Republicans’ extremely effective and devastating cross examinations.
Let’s not sell the House defense team and Republican committee members short. They did a GREAT job, even though they didn’t get to call any of their own witnesses.
