Can’t hurt- but I’d have sambucol on hand too- infact i just ordered two bottles- just to be safe=- natural products are ok- but really aren’t heavy duty like drugs can be for those who need it most- (sick folks- elderly, disabled etc) - for normal colds, and even normal flues I’d do all natural products- but with serious stuff- it’s off to hospital for heavy duty treatments- But hopefully the natural stuff can prevent that- if not, it’s an option-
There are none at this time other than what you would normally do for any virus, influenza, rhinovirus, etc................
What are the air routes from China to the African continent? Stops along the way? Fine chance that two months of travel through these corridors fostered spread. Any trend in those local populations?

The people wearing hospital masks are doing absolutely nothing to prevent infection from a VIRUS!
A virus is to a bacteria as a pea is to a car, the masks they wear are to stop large debris like aerosolized droplets from coughs and sneezes, wont do didly squat against something as small as a virus particle.
To prevent virus inhalation you would need a full face respirator with a HEPA filter that was sized to exclude the virus particle.
The cotton or paper mask may make them feel better, but it is worthless as protection from a virus.
