Any ruling by the Chair can be challenged and overturned by a majority.
Its time to move on and to get back to the business of the country.
This will be the final narrative for the majority of Americans. Book it.
Outside of the AOC wing of the democrat party the rest of us view this as a complete waste of time to include those who do not support Trump. For those of us who do support this President it has further steeled our resolve.
There is much more to this impeachment because on the merits it makes no sense and it is more of a loser every day. I am looking forward to the “affirmative defense” that will be offered by Trump’s team because I expect some bombshells, but who knows?
So now the Legislative Branch has Primacy over the Executive?

The DEMS have really hurt their chances for witnesses this week. It started with Schumer’s blunder to force them through 13 hours of amendments he knew he would lose. Mitch told him he would lose before the trial and before every amendment. Mitch offered to bundle them all together but Schumer would not agree.
Then you have Nadler, who really ticked off a lot senate dems, and got admonished by CJ Roberts.
And now you have 24 hours of mind numbing conjecture, mind reading, lies ,misrepsentations, and repetitions.
If Trumps team can present a powerful, clear and concise defense, I think the senators will vote for no witnesses. At this point, I think Alexander(TN) and Murkowski(AK) would not vote to stretch this out. Murkowski seems to be trying to buddy to Trump lately and called him last week.
Linda Graham said the House brought this mess to the Senate and is forcing them to decide to eliminate executive privilege or honor it. He’d vote to honor exec privilege because the House didn’t do their job and go through the courts.

There was an offer by Senator Ted Cruz which seemed tongue in cheek to swap Bolton for Hunter Biden but the Democrats said nyet.
Regardless of Senator Murkowski’s preferred arrangement, the headline she created goes to the heart of the matter which is the Democrats case is so weak they are shifting the burden to the US Senate to boost their case.
Many commentators have opined the real aim of House Democrats is to create campaign narratives for prospective Democrat Senate candidates going up against incumbent Republican Senators.
Schumer, Schiff, Nadler have all been reported to say if no witnesses are called, then the Senate is engaging in a cover-up.
Not to worry. RINO Lisa will join her Democrat allies as usual, saying this is too serious a charge not to hear many new democrat liars.
That ruling does not apply to a Senate trial. The Democrats should have gone to court in the House investigation. The record of the case was finalized when the House submitted it to the Senate. It’s now way past time for them to ask for more. They chose not to subpoena additional witnesses, so they lost their opportunity.
