At very most low six figures. My suspicion however is that a lot more than just the ballroom was included.
Still, it could quite well be jacked up even beyond the usual premium time slot.
But again, a speck compared to the other side—even if it is true.

Oh I'm sure that price is more than just the ballroom. The room itself, at a fancy place like that, can be tens of thousands for a day rental (Two or three days if they have a couple set days). I would assume additional rooms were rented as well such as the lobby area, maybe some side rooms, green rooms, etc.
Catering is expensive as well. CHEAP rates run you $15 a person. Something fancy can easily top $1-200 per person; big rooms can hold a thousand+ people. That right there is possibly $200M.
Room decor/staging/scenic is not included in the rental. Going super fancy can easily top $100M.
Floral arrangements aren't included in decor. These are crazy overpriced no matter what you do. $100+ per table, plus any lobby/doorway/stage flowers.
AV. This stuff ain't cheap (I work in this business) at all. A single 9x16 screen plus 14k projector is maybe $1M. You get bigger screens (11x20) or odd sizes (10x30), prices go way over a thousand, plus you need bigger projectors. Not to mention all the backend switchers/routing/sources you need. Any video content needs all sorts of pre-production. It's not like youtube where people just run a crappy video they made on their phone. Sound systems, whether a line array or delayed surrounds, are gonna cost tens of thousands. Lighting. Holy crap, even if you have very little stage presence/show, fancy to-dos have tons of uplighting and fancy movers, gobos, etc. This alone can easily hit $100M for a single big room. Not to mention power drops. You'll need a couple 200A or 400A distros, assuming the hotel even has that much available. Generators aren't cheap. And labor here is gonna be a pretty sizeable bill.
For a real big fancy show, just the AV bill could easily hit $1MM by itself.
So I assume they're definitely leaving some details out of the $1MM ballroom rental issue. If it is just the room, yea that's rather excessive. But I bet there's more to it than just that.

Ha—I’ve booked more than a few hotel ballrooms for events myself.

Trump’s family needs enriching? Had the hotel been paid any less the charge would be “illegal campaign contributions.” I suspect that DJT expected this and did it partly as a trolling operation at which sort of thing
he has proved exceptional.
