Russia’s defense ministry accuses Armia Krayova of ‘destroying Jews’ in Warsaw, amid feud with Poland over war’s history
Russia’s defense ministry on Friday accused the Polish resistance movement that staged the Warsaw uprising of 1944 of “destroying Jews,” in the latest salvo of Moscow’s feud with Poland over WWII history.
The accusations were posted with a trove of declassified documents called “Warsaw Under Fire” on the 75th anniversary of Soviet forces’ taking the city after more than five years of occupation by Nazi Germany.
The Russian defense ministry published a multimedia website Friday to mark the anniversary with scans of documents about Nazi concentration camps, photos and lengthy reports by Soviet officers.

Poland has had its magnificent heroes, and great moments in history (the turning back of the Red Army in 1920 before Warsaw, which saved western Europe);
but it also has had some black sheep in the family...
Really,who didn’t kill Jews in that region during that time? Even though America was slow to react,without America,the Jews would probably become extinct.
Israeli media sure has a “thing” with the poles. Maybe focus on the present and the enemies at the gates. So sick of this crap.
Between Berlin and Moscow from 1939 to 1945 (and beyond) there were few good or easy choices.

The Russian should be allowed to blame that on the Poles too.
Russians killed everybody, including divisions of their own soldiers that were in the way. (And Raoul Wallenberg) But they never get held accountable.
Churchill and FDR really screwed over the U.S. and Europe.
I guess Russia gets irritable because most of the world doesn’t realize that about 80% of all the allied deaths were Russians.
This is just the latest example of the Russian Government trying to rewrite the history of the Second World War. Specifically its attempts to whitewash the USSR’s record of conspiring with Hitler to carve up Poland in 1939. To that end the Russians have been engaging in a campaign of anti-Polish propaganda to make Poland look bad and insinuate they bear at least some guilt in starting the war. They are desperately trying to rehabilitate Stalin and to do this need to vilify Poland.
Polish politicians are not taking part in the present destruction of Europe. Therefore they must be attacked. Why the Russians are taking part in this is a mystery. They have more than enough dirty laundry of their own. Perhaps its time for Poland to pay reparations.
Not true. Russia is just trying to divert attention from the fact that Stalin had the Red Army stop just short of Warsaw and then not lift a finger to help the Poles during the Warsaw Uprising because he wanted the Nazis to destroy the Polish Resistance Army, which was not communist. He wanted to install his Lublin Committee commies in Poland and needed the legitimate government and Army of Poland out of the way.
Many of them shot in the back.
If Europe is partly controlled by the mohammedans they are more likely to do what Russia wants.

The Russian soldiers who died had their own leadership to blame. The U.K. and U.S. did everything in their power to aid the Russian cause, to their own detriment. They should have required Russia engage Japan in war immediately for example.
Russia also took so many casualties because their government had no care for their welfar. Including killing whole division of their own men because they were "in the way." It was much worse to be a Russian soldier than U.K., U.S., German, Japanese, etc.
I do feel some sympathy for those soldiers, but for any Russian government to play that card demands way to much chutzpah.

That’s one take on it. It worth mentioning that the Red Army went to Warsaw repelling the Polish invasion of Ukraine. If not for the Polish aggression no Red Army would have been anywhere near Warsaw at the time.
I respect Polish people very much but their government went off the rails recently peddling alternative history to improve their standing and they do it extraordinary stupidly.
Using Auschwitz commemoration to once again inform the rest of the World about Molotov-Ribbentrop as if nobody heard about it and to warn about ‘resurgent Russia’ was just a recent example.
But guess who are coming to a World holocaust forum in Israel this year? Putin is a main guest and nobody wants to see a Polish president in Israel.
Everybody is tired with their baloney.
Without Russia’s massive sacrifice Germany wins the war, unless possibly if we had used numerous atom bombs on Germany in 1945 and if we had lasted that long. That’s all that matters.
