Prayers for our troops, veterans, families, allies, friends, and Canteeners
for a safe and peaceful week ahead.
He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Force, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our G-d from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.
May HASHEM cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighting men from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.
May He lead our enemies under their sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is Hashem, your G-d, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.
G-d bless and keep your children safe, Alouette.
Howdy, Kathy.
Did you have a nice, quiet day? Sleep late? :-)
Hai! Ya, but found out that the FAA certified check pilot who signed me off was out of currency with the FAA so have to go back the Denver and re-do my certification. Grrrrrrr
Shavua tov, and a special refuah shelemah to our troops injured in last weeks Iranian attacks, as well as prayers for the souls and the families of those lost in Afghanistan.
Howdy, Mayor.
How did you fare up there with the storm that moved through?
3-4 inches for us. Tomorrow is lake effect for south of us.
I hope we escaped any more
Ugh! I feel for you, M-L. At least the system is moving fast so it won’t snow all night long. Still, having to shovel ANY snow is a pain.
I imagine it’ll be hard to get Penny to go outside to take care of business. Hard to blame her. :-)
Glad you got snow and not ice, like a lot of folks got from the storm. And glad you didn’t get more snow than you did. I was afraid you’d get slammed.
I’ll hope with you that you escape any more tomorrow.
Thanks!
Hody, PRO.
Did you ever get any snow or are you just freezing?
We got a little rain today, after a night of howling winds, and are now waiting for the temps to plummet. Gonna be cold next week but it’ll be dry ..... and do we ever need dry!
Howdy, LUV.
How hard is this cold front hitting y’all? I imagine da kittehs aren’t very happy. Hole-up time again.
Snow is never more easy to move than just after the snowfall ends.
But you have to know your limitations and the limitations of your equipment.
5 inches is comfortable for the tractor plow and 6 is pushing it...
Hey, there! I went out to feed them and I couldn’t tell it was any different. LOL! The wind isn’t blowing...yet...so even at 35 [feels like 28] it didn’t feel awful. Though, only 3 out of 7 kitties showed up to eat right away. They know something I don’t.
Hope it’s not going to get bad there. Y’all always have it warse than we do!
We got some snow yesterday but not much.
I shoveled it all off this morning and then it warmed up enough to melt some more.
We're in a typical winter weather cycle here.
You’re already on the backside of the cold front and have been. It just came through here a little while ago and the temps are just beginning to drop. We’re still in the low 50s here but not for long.
I’m glad the wind died down from the gale we had last night. I kept thinking I heard thunder but it was wind gusts slamming the house with thumps. It was crazy.
Sounds like only 3 kittehs were hungry enough to leave their warm hidey holes this evening. :-)
It sounds like our winters. Snow a little, warm up enough to melt the next day. LOL
We won’t have any wet weather for the next several days but if we did, it would be snow. Our nice warm spell is over for a while.
I’m glad we’re on the backside because it IS supposed to get down into the 20s tonight or tomorrow night. I’m wearing my cords and a heavy sweater to church tomorrow!
That wind had to be awful. It would be hard to sleep through that. Did it have the kittehs wired? Hope it doesn’t get too cold! Maybe it’ll warm up before you have to go grocery shopping.
Your weather’s on it’s way here. We’ll have three days of highs in the low to mid 30s with lows in the 20’s and teens. Then a slight warm up Wed.
I didn’t sleep well at all due to the wind. I got up, got dressed, and did a walk-around at 5:30 to check on the trees and nothing was amiss. The way the wind tossed me around, I was surprised. It still took a while to go to sleep after that so I’m a bit sleepy tonight. It’s calm so no wind will keep me up this time.
Maybe the cold will kill off some bugs there and here so we won’t be swarmed this summer.
