I would hate to see this thread descend into an argument, especially over what church is best. What we should be doing is encouraging each other. There are people who are on a spiritual journey and those who are not, or are on an evil journey. Whatever our free will chooses will be a definite journey, with highs and lows and turns. Once we make that choice God’s will for our lives is a goal worth pursuing and He will lead us. To me that is what is important.

I was tapped to teach confirmation class at the base chapel. Some time ago. Reading through the program I discovered I was supposed to be going to Mass every week not just when we felt like going. Twelve year of catholic school. It was a wake up.

Agree!!!

Those who have 'repented' in it's fullest meaning, accepted Christ as their Savior and trying to follow Him are His body!

Just a couple of scriptures.

BSB Romans 12:4 Just as each of us has one body with many members, and not all members have the same function,

5 so in Christ we who are many are one body, and each member belongs to one another.

6 We have different gifts according to the grace given us. If one’s gift is prophecy, let him use it in proportion to his faith;…

ESV Hebrews 10:24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,

25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Seems we are all part of His body. Each has a function. Haven't found a church home as of yet but still looking. If the PERFECT CHURCH was found and I joined it would no longer be Perfect!!

jmho, His body is made up of Believers from many denominations. He demonstrated that several years ago.

God bless and 'keep on, keeping on'!! It will be worth it all, when we see Christ!!

Will you pour out your heart to God
He will listen and comfort
Is there anyone on this earthly walk who will share your pain and walk with you?

Praying for your peace

Thank you! If you can't make it to a church or haven't found a church, start by daily prayer, read the bible, meditate. One of the simplest catechism questions in the old Baltimore Catechism(Catholic)

Why did God make us? God made us to know Him, love Him and serve Him in this world and to be happy with Him in the next.

Ask Him daily to show you the way. If we are sincere He will show us and shower us with graces. Just don't forget prayers of Thanksgiving when He does.

Dear FRiend, even if you have before, I humbly and respectfully suggest you seek Christian grief counseling to help you deal with your devastating loss.

Many prayers on your behalf.

"If you can't make it to a church or haven't found a church, start by daily prayer, read the bible, meditate."

Do the above daily!!! Been praying more daily for our President!! Think all the problems in our Gov are spiritual related.

satan knows his time is short.

"Ask Him daily to show you the way. If we are sincere He will show us and shower us with graces. Just don't forget prayers of Thanksgiving when He does."

Yes, He does!!! VERY, VERY grateful for His Son and His Sacrifice for us all!!

Basically attend a Church on the internet every Sunday. LOL!! Today's message concerned being a part of the Christian Community. (The Church.) Ouch! :°)

“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.” John 15:4

We connect to God when we lean in to Christian Community.

I forgot to mention good works. The three virtues, faith, hope and charity. I used to tell people faith is like a muscle, the more you use it, the stronger it gets. And faith without good works means very little.

The Catholic Church is not a denomination.

If you’re not Catholic, it has nothing to do with you. As I said in my first statement. Post 3 or so
