No cooking for sure...lunch was delicious, and dinner was too. LOL!
Glad a ripped gutter was all the damage you got, and all your trees are still standing...sounds like you had enough wind that it could have been worse. Is this storm system done?
YIKES! 2050?
Retirement is on the agenda in the next year or so, so I better be finding a place not so cold. Year-round 60s sounds good to me (and no tornadoes or hurricanes), altho I must admit to loving sitting by the window and watching it snow. So quiet and peaceful.
We actually did some stuff out there yesterday. Gizmo loves to hang out at the brush pile by the golf course clubhouse so we did that. The weather turned nice after we had a little bit of sleet earlier in the day.
Kinda nice getting to enjoy good food twice in one day, isn’t it? Definitely nice not having to cook. LOL
We did get lucky. That wind was really ripping through during the storms and had been blowing HARD since last evening. I heard loud banging from next door when I stepped outside before going to bed. A large sheet of tin had been torn loose on the roof of the barn or tractor shed at Hubby’s cousin’s farm next door.
The system is well past us now and is moving onto the coast now. It looks like NC is the only state that’s having strong storms at this point but no tornados.
Do you have fog at your house? It’s been thick at the airport tonight.
Good that you were able to head out there for a while. Gizmo needs to burn off steam. :-) If the sleet had stuck around all day, that would have put a damper on things.
We got through the day in one piece but it sure was wild for a while.
Good morning, E...((HUGS))...and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours. Any bad weather for you and Gizmo? Are you able to get out and play?
You boys have a great Sunday.
I can see a street light on the next street to the east. Looking to the west does look foggy.
Hope the sheet of tin is the only damage next door.
Shavua tov, prayers up for our troops!
The fog has lifted for the time being but just barely. The ceiling is hovering just above the buildings out there. Kinda pretty.
We’re supposed to get fog overnight since the temp is dropping. If it does and it’s thick enough, I’ll probably take a little walk in it before going to bed.
I hope that tin is the only damage next door too. I haven’t been anywhere so didn’t have a chance to look as I drove by. I’ll look when I go to the store in the afternoon.
Shavua Tov, BTerclinger, to you and yours. Our troops deserve our support and prayers.
BTerclinger.....#50!!
Thank you for doing your part to help keep all of us free and safe.
Thanks, unique, for the pastries.

Nope. No bad weather here. Turned out to be a nice day.
I will make sure I will always have penny by my side when I wear it.

Oh, by then way, tomorrow is my birthday. I’ll be 78.
