Admitting to downing Ukraine jetliner will cost Iran regime dearly
The assassination of Gen. Soleimani gave the regime a golden opportunity to rehabilitate the IRGC in Iranian public opinion by focusing on its role in defeating Sunni jihadist organizations outside of Iran, such as ISIS and al-Nusra/al-Qaeda in Iraq and Syria. Those brutally sectarian organizations, which murder Shia and destroy their shrines, are even more unpopular in Iran than the IRGC. Suddenly, the crowds on the street were celebrating an IRGC commander, in scenes reminiscent of the 1980s when the revolution was new. But the honeymoon proved extremely short-lived. The Ayatollahs’ regime began to blow their golden opportunity before Gen. Soleimani’s body was in the ground.
The regime’s incompetence and indifference was evident on Tuesday morning as massive crowds gathered in Soleimani’s hometown of Kerman. The government wanted the crowds to be as large and as emotional as possible. It appears that more thought was given to the design of the giant posters that overhung the event than to managing the crowds or keeping people safe. The result was a deadly crush. About 60 people died in the stampede and more than 200 were injured.
The same reckless neglect was on display again 24 hours later, as Flight 752 fell from the sky.
It is a pattern in a country that has a record of preventable deaths on its roads, rails and in the sky.
The crash of Flight 752 is the fourteenth Iranian air crash since 2000 to have caused more than 25 fatalities. https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/iran-iraq-crash-soleimani-trump-1.5423238

That plane was following the same flight path it always takes. It flies daily at the same time, unless there's a delay in take-off for some reason. Steve Lookner, on Agenda Free TV, pulled up all that data tonight and showed that it didn't vary from its regular flight path.
Flat out lies by the Iranians, but who's surprised?
perhaps not the Iranian ambassador in the UK:
In my statement yesterday to the UK media, I conveyed the official findings of responsible authorities in my country that missile could not be fired and hit the Ukrainian plane at that period of time. I appologise and regret for conveying such wrong findings.
They have to toss a bit of propaganda into everything possible. I don't believe for a second that the Russians shot down MH17. Either the rebel Ukrainians or the government Ukrainians shot it down with odds favoring the government since it was their flight controllers who allowed it over a war zone and told it both course and altitude.
Release the trained gatekeeper baying hounds.

CCTV footage has been released portraying the moment the #IRGC launched an Anti-Air Missile towards #UkranianPlaneCrash #PS752 killing all onboard.

I think the Iranian statement is consistent, certainly more consistent than anything coming from the Democrats...that Trump was somehow responsible.
It’s quite possible that the usual flight path of the plane would look like an attack. But if the air defenses are not on high alert, and other airlines figured out it’s not worth flying at that time...then poorly trained operators there think it’s an attack, when it shows up, even if on schedule and on path.
They never said it veered off or might have been spying, as the Russians had said about Korean Flight 007 after they shot it down (and let’s be real, how can a flight numbered 007 NOT be spying?)
Hooboy! He took a hit for his “apology”. I notice the only few who seem to accept it are non-Iranians. Brits or Americans, I presume. Iranians are all over him like stink on poop.
They lied from start saying they didn’t shoot down the plane. They knew they did right off the bat. When they couldn’t get away with that lie any more, they had to come up with a reason for shooting it down. Covering up for some trigger-happy idiots isn’t an excuse to come up with this Bovine Scatology.
It’s too bad Ukraine didn’t cancel their flights for the night like a few other countries did. I guess they felt it was safe since Iran had announced they were through firing missiles for the time being and it was hours later.
We’re at 3.5 years of waiting for the Democrats and the media to be honest about Trump...it took Ukraine about 3.5 days. That’s pretty good in my book. Not to mention that we still have open questions about one of our own crashes - 20 years ago.
Would we all like to know who was on board this flight and flight 800 as well. Just to satisfy the conspiracy theorist in us all. Ron Brown wants to know!

I’m not waiting for the dems and the enemedia to be honest about Trump. LOL! That’ll NEVER happen. I’d be happy to eat a plate of crow if they did but I’m pretty comfortable saying that. :-)
My problem is not with Ukraine. My problem is with Iran lying from the start. Video showing up online about an hour or so after the crash made it pretty obvious at that time the plane was shot down. They only admitted it when other videos showed up later and all evidence gathered by others pointed to the same conclusion. Then they come up with the story that someone thought it was a hostile. That may be so but since it was a daily flight, it’s a bit hard to believe.
These things do happen, unfortunately. Sometimes we never get answers.
Now I must try to get some sleep. We have a rough afternoon ahead weather-wise and I need to be ready for whatever hits us.

IRGC Aerospace Cmdr: I wish I was dead and such an incident hadn't happened. We in IRGC accept all the responsibility, and are ready to implement any decision made by the Establishment
IRGC Aerospace Cmdr says we had requested the establishment of a no-fly zone given the war situation. But it was not approved for certain considerations
IRGC Aerospace Cmdr says Air Defence operator sent a message to his commanders; but after he didn't receive any response for 10 seconds, he decided to shoot it down
The IRGC commander repeated for several times that the Aviation Organization was not to blame. All the blame must be pinned on Armed Forces & and those who failed to control the situation (no-fly zone perhaps).
Key point in his remarks was reports of cruise missile fired at Iran

RGC Aerospace Cmdr: I informed Iranian officials on Wednesday morning, and said we speculate our own passenger plane has been shot down. But the General Staff of Armed Forces quarantined all those who knew about it, and decided to declare it later

Osama Bin Laden right now: OMG, how come I didnt think of this? Blow up a plane and say it was an accident. Nobody will come after you. Some will even thank you for saying it was an accident. Amazing how these non-believers are fooled so easily.
