That, NFHale, is what I thought exactly. To this day, I am still amazed this country had descended so far as to put someone like him in the White House.

I dunno... looking at it maybe from a different perspective, maybe it still shows that a lot of folks are willing to try and give someone the benefit of the doubt and a shot at something.
Even though it was “One Big Ass Mistake, America”, at the very least folks were decent enough to say “Maybe it’ll be okay.”
The first time, yes. The second time after he proved what a bumblef*ck stumblebum idiot he was, no, not so much.
Yeah, I know... I just threw up a little too.... :^)
And co sider his competition...McCain? Romney? What a sad state.

Re McCain and Romney:
Both of them were put there to lose. McCain, because that was a given, and Romney, because the fix was in.
Both were/are despicable. As are the party bosses that foisted that mess on us.
But, again, on a positive note - sometimes you have to wade through a pile sh*t to realize how much you appreciate sugar.
Without eight years of The OBunghole, we wouldn’t have gotten Trump.
And the contrast is striking. We have an American back in the White House... a guy who actually LOVES his Country (what a concept, I know!!)
Odd. That $1.5 Billion is the same amount they figure the Bidens screwed out of the Ukraine by selling Russian gas miss labelled as Euro gas.
Enough news was out there about Obama in 2008.

Agreed, there was indeed, but not everybody pays/paid attention or did the research they should have done.
Same can be said about McCain. A great many folks knew his background, saw him in action over the years, yet there we were, suddenly he’s “our” candidate.
So to rlmorel’s point - yes, it IS a sad state where we’ve come to, where we don’t do the research and proper vetting that we SHOULD do before handing over positions of power to people like OBunghole, Pelosi, etc.
The Lord works in mysterious ways! I never would have for a minute thought those tools lost on purpose before Trump, but now I’m convinced. He exposed the whole game.
