Catherine West Lowry is a senior lecturer at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. For the past 13 years, she has taught introductory accounting—a "dry and difficult subject matter," in her words.
To make the class more exciting, Lowry has for years let students make funny videos for extra credit. Some of these have been shown in class. A parody video from 2009 was particularly popular and has resurfaced in subsequent years.
Last semester, when Lowry showed this specific video, many students laughed at it. But at least a few were offended and complained to the administration, which subsequently relieved Lowry of her teaching duties.
The video in question is in the style of the popular Downfall parodies. Downfall, a 2004 German film that depicts the final days of Adolph Hitler and his inner circle, includes an extended scene of Hitler screaming at his subordinates that is rife for parody. People change the subtitles so that Hitler is ranting about something else: Here's a meta example about the parodies themselves, and here's one where Hitler realizes Pokemon aren't real. Lowry's students made one where Hitler is enrolled in the course and receive a bad grade.

There must be a hundred different parody videos of this. The first one I saw, Hitler was upset about his kitchen remodel and not getting the stainless steel appliances he wanted.
Probably 10,000. This one is very good, especially for a student doing and extra-credit project!

“Untergang” is waaaaaaaaaaay more famous because of these parody videos than as the movie, which is excellent.

My favorite one was Hitler ranting about Hillary losing the election. Kind of fitting.

No different than HR, it's all about the brand and protecting it and fending off lawsuits. My guess is the snowflakes lawyered up and this was the scalp they wanted, it they also didn't get some cash.
No wonder all the big name Comedians have left the stage, as this being just another example of the Sovietization of our Culture continues, it is all about politics all the time and being offended and molding the culture as we bow down to them.
Sadly the Prof may not find work in the People Socialist Republic, even though Accountants are in big demand, perhaps they will take her down south.

The video was ACTUALLY from 2009 (ostensibly from her class), yet only now is she getting fired for showing an old video? I’d think only 2019 videos were being shown....
