Before the holidays, if you remember, the House of Representatives voted to impeach the president on abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. The vote came months after a whistleblower complaint that alleged Trump tried to use the power of the presidency to coerce Ukraine to investigate the Bidens for his own political interests. President Trump and his associates maintain his request was not politically motivated and that he wanted to root out corruption.
According to a few Republican lawmakers, the campaign against the president was a sleazy, sleazy process. And the main culprit, they alleged , is House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
On "Hannity" Monday night, Reps. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) and Matt Gaetz (R-FL) recalled hearing threats on the Democratic side of the aisle as the votes proceeded.
“It’s not just that Nancy Pelosi raises money for her political caucus, it’s that Nancy Pelosi uses that money as a political weapon against anyone who would potentially vote against impeachment," Gaetz said. "Andy and I observed active threats on the House floor that if the Blue Dog Democrats did not go along with the radical left of the Democratic Party and support impeachment, that they would not be supported by the DCCC."
Biggs said he's talked to Democrats behind the scenes whose hands are tied because, again, Pelosi has bullied them with her power of the purse.
"Some of them I’ve talked to quietly on the side want this to go away," Biggs said. "They wish it had never happened. But Nancy Pelosi’s got them, because she raises money for them.”
It was the only "quid pro quo" Gaetz said he observed throughout the impeachment process.
Right now Pelosi is threatening to withhold the articles of impeachment from the Senate, where this process is expected to head for a trial. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is demanding to hear from new witnesses and see new documents, making Republicans wonder if their Democratic colleagues have truly made their best case to impeach the president.
"This has been a huge mistake for the Democrats," Biggs said.

Trump has no “power” to impound funds appropriated by Congress according to a case decided during Nixon’s time in office.
Like “I’ll take you out behind the gym.”? That sort of threat?
Bottom line: Paul Pelosi wll be indicted, Nancy Pelosi will resign or face arrest as a main player in the Ukraine corruption scheme, Trump will be acquitted, vindicated and reelected.
What gives the Senate constitutional standing to issue a directed verdict and end this thing without any trial since the impeachment process was bogus and unconstitutional?
What legal step is required to give the Senate jurisdiction in this matter so they can dismiss?
If it wasn’t for hypocrisy, lying, cheating, stealing, why the democrats wouldn’t have any qualities at all.

Well, they could just “deem” it to have passed. I suppose we need Eric Ciaramella to tell us what he thinks.
Your guess is as good as mine, there’s been so much written about it back and forth I don’t know who to believe.

That was the EXACT image that popped into my head. Well done!
Uh, huh......a naked quid pro quo.
These weakling Democrats, Why are they not putting their DC McMansions up for sale and stepping down?
Their salary is only around $174,000 per year, little higher now with pay raise and that salary is nothing to sneeze at by most Americans.
But if they step down, I believe they have a guaranteed pension which is I think automatic if they served say 4 or 6 years, something like that. Somebody please look it up.
And as many of them are lawyers, certainly they can find practice work in the private sector or start a business.
So what’s keeping them? I mean I would feel pissed, downright filthy if Pelosi threatened me and I bowed to her. I would say stuff it up yours! Then I’d go before the cameras like whatshisname Drew and say this ain’t for me man!
So what’s keeping them?
A few things I can think of:
1. They’re compromised.
2. They’re on the take for much bigger bucks than a mere Congressional salary.
3. Luca Brasi has called them to make a ‘special appointment’.
4. Spouse calls to say someone left a newspaper on the porch wrapped around a dead fish.
I agree, probably all of the above.
There really isn’t anyone in charge of our government (albeit POTUS Trump who is basically alone) nor many credible to actually give a straight answer about anything. It seems so many run around doing what they want and p*ss on the Constitution as they call themselves patriots and scholars trying to save “democracy”.
